In order to further optimize the structure of freshwater aquaculture and enable farmers to embark on the road of getting rich, the Fisheries Bureau of Hangu District introduced 40,000 Australian lobster seedlings in July this year, which were put into three farms in Xizhuang Tuo Village, Yangjiapo Town, Chadian Town, and Ximeng Village, Hangu District, for culture experiments.

Recently, it was learned that Australian freshwater lobster culture in this area has been successful. Now the large ones are more than 10 centimeters, and the small ones are 5 centimeters, with a survival rate of more than 60 percent. Australian lobsters have been moved from open-air ponds to greenhouses for breeding, which can be listed before the Spring Festival. It is estimated that the yield per mu can reach about 3000 jin, and the benefit per mu is more than 20, 000 yuan.
