Recently, there is a busy scene in the vegetable field beside National Highway 209 in Lancun Township. More than 50 farmers are picking cucumbers while loading them into the car. This is a hot harvest and sale scene in the 180-mu "Fuzhou" cucumber production base of Chongqing Xingyou vegetable and Fruit Co., Ltd.

It is understood that farmers in Lancun Village rent their farmland to Chongqing Xingyou vegetable and Fruit Co., Ltd. at 700 yuan per mu per year to grow cucumbers, and then return to their farmland to work for 40 yuan per day. Not only can we get more income than in previous years, but also we can learn planting techniques and farmers can get real benefits. The cucumbers planted by Chongqing Xingyou vegetable and Fruit Co., Ltd., due to the out-of-season scale planting, not only sell well but also the price is good, cucumbers are exported to Chongqing, Chengdu and other large and medium-sized cities. The yield per mu is more than 14000 jin, and the income per mu is nearly 7000 yuan. After deducting various costs, the net profit per mu is about 3000 yuan.

In the past two years, Lancun Township has made great efforts to develop out-of-season vegetables by making use of its unique location and environmental advantages, and through attracting investment, carrying out intensive land management and developing large-scale agriculture, which has not only made more effective use of farmers' land, alleviated the employment pressure of migrant workers, increased farmers' income, but also brought considerable economic benefits to agricultural companies and realized a win-win situation for both companies and farmers.
