Li Jianming, the King of growing Grain

Li Jianming, Deputy Manager of Seed Company in Shaoyang County, Hunan Province, was laid off in 2001. He once did business outside and made a lot of profits. In the spring of 2005, he returned home to contract more than 500 mu of paddy field in Banqiao Township, Daxiang District, Shaoyang City, planting double-cropping rice for three consecutive years and winning high yield.

In March 2008, Li Jianming invested more than 500,000 yuan under the support of the United Front Work Department of Shaoyang County Party Committee, Agricultural Bureau, Agricultural Machinery Bureau and other relevant departments to contract more than 1200 mu of paddy field in Wushan Village, Guzhou Town to plant rice, creating high yield again. This spring he received a reward of 10,000 yuan from the county party committee and government. Encouraged by Li Jianming's expansion of scale, 1500 mu of double-cropping rice has been planted, all of which have implemented new efficient agricultural technologies such as soil testing formula and green prevention and control. At present, early rice has a bumper harvest, with an income of more than 800,000 yuan, becoming a veritable "grain king".

Now, Li Jianming realized that: now belongs to the financial crisis extraordinary period, one person rich is not rich, everyone rich is really rich. Therefore, more than 20 laid-off farmers and other farmers in the town were organized to set up an agricultural professional cooperative organization to better drive laid-off workers and villagers to plant rice and grain crops, opening up a new channel for more returning farmers to increase production and income.
