Liao Shiyuan, a professional grape grower
Liao Shiyuan is a big grape grower in Group 5 of Qiaotou Village, Huarong Town. in 2000, he contracted 10 mu of land to grow grapes for 10 years, which changed the poverty of his family and made him more confident and optimistic.
When he was young, Liao Shiyuan was chosen by military cadres and brought to the army to become an air force. in the army, he was an obedient soldier, and he never completed the tasks told by the leader without discount. After being demobilized from the army, Liao Shiyuan returned to Qiaotou Village, Huarong Town. Facing an eyeful of crop fields, he was at a loss. He did not know how to go in the future, let alone which road was suitable for him.
For a long time, Liao Shiyuan was constantly selected and selected. after being demobilized, although he was unwilling to stay in the village to grow crops, he had no choice but to start his farming career in the village like other farmers.
When working was popular in the countryside, Liao Shiyuan came to the city and began his work. He worked as a construction site labourer, and after working as a repairman, with the help of his brother, he bought a numb car to pick up and see off guests in the streets. A few years later, when the numbness was cancelled, Liao Shiyuan lost his job again. He faced not only the confusion of re-choosing the road of life, but also the most basic survival pressure to solve the problem of food and clothing for a family. Liao Shiyuan could not make up his mind whether to continue to work in the city or go back to the countryside to farm land. In those days, he could not eat well or sleep well, and once again faced the pain of choice. After much deliberation, Liao Shiyuan decided to go back to the countryside, which is his root. He believes that where there are roots, they will certainly grow into trees and give him a cool summer.
Soon after returning to the countryside, it is time for government support to help farmers grow grapes, readjust small plots of land, allow farmers to contract large plots of land to grow grapes, and provide preferential policies such as seedlings and low loans for grape farmers. Liao Shiyuan found hope and future from the government's policy of benefiting farmers, and he contracted 10 mu of land at once. At this time, he already has three children, all of whom are studying, and the tuition fee for each semester is more than 1000 yuan, which is a large expense for him. Liao Shiyuan does not want to see the children drop out of school, no matter how hard they are. I can't make the kids suffer. Although he knew nothing about growing grapes, he clenched his teeth and borrowed 10,000 yuan and began to grow grapes.
From 2000 to 2003, the output value of Liao Shiyuan's vineyard was less than 1000 yuan per mu, which was not enough for a family with a debt of 30, 000 yuan. Especially in 2003, when there were too many Rain Water, grape farmers lost their harvest, and many farmers were sad and cut off the grape branches. Liao Shiyuan stood in his vineyard, his heart wrenching like a knife. The grapes that had been planted so hard were gone, and he didn't know what to do in the next day. Whether to continue to grow grapes or switch to other industries as soon as possible, Liao Shiyuan suffered from insomnia during those nights. After repeated ideological struggles, he decided to continue to grow grapes. At this time, the town government organized a group of grape farmers to visit Jingshan to learn other people's planting skills, and he signed up to participate. In Jingshan, through the explanation of relevant experts, he learned from other people's planting experience, and introduced Jingshan's rain-shielding cultivation techniques to his own vineyard, coupled with three years of groping experience. Liao Shiyuan finally tasted the joy of harvest and considerable economic benefits for the first time in 2004, and his grape income increased several times in 2004 alone. After the grape is profitable, his self-confidence and investment ability have been greatly enhanced. Growing grapes is also a technical and manual work, although the labor intensity is not great, but it takes time to take care of it, especially when preventing the disease, it needs early detection and early treatment, so as not to lose all the grapes in the garden. This is how Liao Shiyuan kept learning, constantly summing up experiences and lessons, and slowly changed himself from a person who didn't know anything about grapes to a grape professional.
After 2004, his grape income increased year by year. In the past, the output value per mu reached two or three thousand yuan, and he was satisfied. Now the output value per mu is as high as 8000 yuan, and his family has also moved from the old house to the new three-story house. Standing on the roof of the new house, looking at the vineyard covered with grapes, Liao Shiyuan and his wife smiled happily.
