He is Sun Yujiang, a 48-year-old construction farm worker.

In the early days of his business, Sun Yujiang, who had experienced a difficult life, chose the aquaculture industry with a strong desire to shake off poverty and become rich. He bought 20 breeder sheep from other places. As a result of long-distance transportation, the breeder sheep got sick as soon as they got home. He took good care of the sick breeder sheep, guarded them all night, and invited breeding experts to inject medicine into the breeder sheep. After more than a month of careful feeding, the breeder sheep returned to health. But hope, like a beautiful soap bubble, was soon dashed. With the arrival of high temperatures in summer, lambs born to breeder sheep began to die individually, and the final survival rate was less than half. The money invested has lost all its money.

At this time, relatives and friends advised him: "you honestly farm, if you lose money, you will regret it." However, he believes that as long as he chooses a good goal and finds the right way of development, he will certainly be able to achieve success with his own hard work. Under the support of this strong belief, in the winter of 2000, he successively went to Jilin Province and other places to inspect cattle raising projects. after investigation and study, he found that the benefits of raising beef cattle were very considerable, while the team's rich aquatic grass resources, a large number of bean stalks, bean skins, corn stalks and other forage grasses were very suitable for beef cattle breeding. Before the farm support policy was introduced, he borrowed 50, 000 yuan from his wife and bought back 17 beef cattle in 2001. when the farm saw that he was highly motivated to raise cattle, he took the initiative to support him and successively gave him a loan of 100000 yuan. he also raised part of his own funds to buy back 60 beef cattle.

Sun Yujiang accumulated some practical experience in the process of raising cattle and sheep. he also bought a series of books and publications on raising cattle and sheep, such as "raising sheep scientifically" and "how to improve the calving rate of cows". He grazed during the day and studied assiduously at night. He took the time to consult experienced animal husbandry and veterinarians. After several years of self-study, he mastered a set of cattle and sheep epidemic prevention and treatment and scientific feeding methods, general minor diseases. You don't need a veterinarian, you can treat it yourself. Because Sun Yujiang persisted in scientific breeding, cattle and sheep were fat and strong, and the growth rate was fast, and the reproduction rate was high, more than 60 of the 85 beef cattle he bought were pregnant that year. Since 2002, the pregnancy rate and the survival rate of calves and lambs have reached more than 97%. At the same time, cattle have been fed with silage, which has shortened the parting rate by 6-7 months. The farm loan was paid off in just three years. In 2007, the output value was more than 1 million yuan and the net income was 290000 yuan.

With the support of the farm and production team, Sun Yujiang embarked on the road to prosperity. Last year, he credited six beef cattle to four employees on the team, which have now grown to 12. This year, he supported four more households to develop beef cattle breeding free of charge, and often came to the door for technical guidance. With his help, more than 60 of the more than 80 households in the team now raise cattle and sheep, including 7 households with more than 20 cattle and more than 20 households with more than 10 cattle.

Today, he has 117 beef cattle and 238 sheep, more than 100 square meters of brick and wood structure cowshed, 500 square meters of sunshine fattening cowshed, 2 silage cellars of 5500 square meters, one four-wheeler, one shredder and one kneading machine, with fixed assets of more than 800,000 yuan and annual net income of more than 300,000 yuan.
