In 2007, Wang Wei, a graduate of Suzhou University, gave up the opportunity to work as a lawyer in Shanghai and returned to his hometown of Huai'an to become a university student village official. In a short period of two years, by taking the lead in starting a business and leading the masses to become rich, the young man has become a well-known "shrimp general".

The Dazhou village where Wang Wei works is near the Huaihe River, with fertile land, rich water resources and unique aquaculture conditions. Xuyi County, to which Dazhou Village belongs, is also known as the "lobster capital". During the lobster listing in June every year, the small county town relies on the brand effect of the lobster festival, the lobster consumer market is extremely popular, and the lobster price is also very popular. The advantage of resources at the county and township levels made Wang Wei, who had not been employed in the village, see a business opportunity. "Xuyi lobster is hot, and so should the lives of the villagers. You can't keep the golden signboard and live a poor life! " With such an idea, Wang Wei came up with the idea of developing large-scale and characteristic lobster farming in this village.

However, is it possible for a college graduate to raise lobster? From relatives to villagers, and even some party members and cadres around them are full of doubts about Wang Wei.

"it is better to shout through the voice than to make an appearance and encourage the villagers to develop and become rich. we cannot rely solely on preaching, but must play an exemplary role. The common people can't liberate their minds, so I'll take the lead and take the lead on the way to starting a business. " In the face of public questions, Wang Wei always explains in this way.

Everything is difficult at the beginning, and the pressure at the beginning of starting a business is obvious, among which the financial difficulty is particularly prominent. To this end, on the one hand, Wang Wei took out all his savings, on the other hand, he took the initiative to contact the Agricultural Bank of China, which is linked to poverty alleviation in this village. The first time I came to the door, no one paid any attention. So Wang Wei ran two or three times. Perhaps Wang Wei's wholehearted work moved the leadership of the Municipal Agricultural Bank. In the end, he not only got some financial support from the Municipal Agricultural Bank, but also contacted the technicians of the Municipal Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Bureau for regular guidance through the village instructor of the Municipal Agricultural Bank. The technical problem of lobster farming was solved.

Under its own persistence and efforts, and with the active cooperation of the parties concerned, in June 2008, led by Wang Wei himself, the 100-mu lobster culture demonstration site project jointly funded by Zhu Chengqin, the village general branch secretary, and Xu Changyou, the village group leader, was launched.

After the implementation of the project, Wang Wei devoted himself to the lobster. In order to grow up, fatten and develop the characteristics of lobsters, he constantly studied the habits of lobsters and pondered their breeding skills. From the beginning of the first batch of shrimp fry, as long as they saw Wang Wei running through the ditches and ponds, the villagers knew that Wang Wei must be "exploring shrimp". Wang Wei went black, Wang Wei lost weight, and the crayfish "thrived". In order to truly industrialize lobster farming, Wang Wei and the general branch secretary of the village continue to expand the scale of lobster farming. At present, the early investment of lobster culture demonstration site in Dazhou Village has reached nearly 900000 yuan, developed 150 mu of low-lying land, put in 200000 shrimp seedlings, the yield per mu has reached 100,200kg, and the benefit per mu is 2000-3500 yuan. Within a month before the opening of Xuyi Lobster Festival this year alone, the profit from lobster farming reached 50,000 yuan.

Wang Wei, who took the first step on the road to becoming rich, did not forget the people around him. As early as the beginning of the aquaculture project, he mobilized 10 people from five poor families in the village to work in his own breeding demonstration site. After the project began to make a profit, Wang Wei established the Changyou Lobster farming Professional Cooperative on the existing basis, attracting poor families to join the cooperative, and all the income paid dividends according to shares.

Now, the success of lobster farming has not only won Wang Wei a reputation as a "shrimp general", but also created more opportunities for him to serve the masses. At the end of 2008, Huaihe Town approved the establishment of a lobster breeding party branch in Dazhou Village, and Wang Wei was appointed secretary of the industrial party branch. "as secretary of the party branch of the industry, the burden on his shoulders is heavier and more motivated." In the face of the author, Wang Wei said confidently: "Shrimp will be small, but it has a rush. As long as the lobster is raised well, the life of the villagers in Dazhou Village will certainly be as popular as the lobster in Xuyi!"
