He has an advanced sense of market management, he is not satisfied with the insipid life of "growing mushrooms to make money, farming land for some oil and salt money". Two years ago, he built six solar greenhouses and planted all red grapes. He is Zhu Xianglin, a villager of Huating Village, Xiying Town, Liangzhou District, who is affectionately known as the "Grape King" by the villagers.

In the 1990s, Zhu Xianglin had the idea of getting rich by planting solar greenhouses. In 1999, with the help and guidance of Xiying Town Agricultural Technology Station, the two semi-pit solar greenhouses he operated tried to plant edible mushrooms such as Pleurotus ostreatus, Lentinus edodes, Auricularia auricula and Pleurotus ostreatus, and achieved good returns. "at that time, the income of the two sheds was equivalent to 10 mu of wheat, and the benefit was very considerable."

In early 2007, an accidental opportunity made Zhu Xianglin have an inextricable bond with grapes. That year, the town organized some local solar greenhouse growers to go to Huazangsi Town, Tianzhu County to observe and study. At the demonstration site of the solar greenhouse in Huazangsi town, the grape shed was full of grapes, staring at him in a daze. According to the introduction of local farmers, the output of a grape shed can reach 1500 jin to 2000 jin. According to the lowest market price of 10 yuan per jin, the income is between 15000 and 20000 yuan. At this time, Zhu Xianglin was excited. when he came back, he further learned on TV and in the newspaper that Wuwei had the natural geographical conditions and market advantages of cultivating red grapes, so he decided to devote himself to learning viticulture techniques. Zhu Xianglin's move was strongly supported by the Xiying town government. In that year, with 55000 yuan in savings, 25000 yuan in loans coordinated by the town government and 25000 yuan borrowed from relatives and friends, he built six solar greenhouses at one time, and planted red grapes in that year.

Last year, Zhu Xianglin's six solar greenhouses as demonstration sites received regular technical guidance services from the Forestry Technology Center of Liangzhou District, with a fruit rate of 30%, an output of 1350 jin and an income of 10500 yuan. Zhu Xianglin told reporters: "due to the fruit rate, red grapes will not see any benefit in two years, but will not be beneficial until the third year. It is estimated that the output of the six sheds will reach more than 60,000 jin this year, and the income will reach more than 60,000 yuan. Compared with farming, there are three major advantages of planting red grapes. The first is to save water, the second is to achieve good benefits, and the third is to save labor. Originally, when I was farming, four people in my family were busy in the fields all day, but there was no benefit in a year. Now I can take care of six sheds alone, and the benefits are still considerable. " At the same time, he also told reporters that he is going to build another seedling shed this year, which can provide grape seedlings to the whole town in the future.

After years of practice, Zhu Xianglin has learned a truth, that is, if farmers want to get rich, they cannot "wait, rely on, and want" either. Only through their own active efforts can they effectively improve their living standards. Now, the solar greenhouse operated by Zhu Xianglin has become an important technical training base in Xiying Town and an observation spot for the development of red grapes in solar greenhouses in villages and towns along the mountains of Liangzhou District. He was also hired as a farmer technician in Xiying Town last year. He has undertaken the technical guidance of 80 red grape solar greenhouses in four villages such as Shuangzhuang.
