Sun Mingxia began to grow in the greenhouse in 1991. At that time, her income was very low because she did not know the technology. In order to master the planting technology, she subscribed to a variety of newspapers and books, and participated in the "green certificate" training. through unremitting efforts and study, she mastered the greenhouse planting technology, not only won the "green certificate", but also was rated as a farmer technician, and her income is also increasing.

Technology paves the way to wealth. In addition to growing cucumbers and tomatoes in the greenhouse, Sun Mingxia also planted some watermelons. Although watermelon tastes delicious, it has a causing weakness. It is afraid of repeated cropping, and it can be planted for a year and cannot be planted for ten years. For many years, people have not found a solution. In order to solve this problem, she flipped through a large number of books and occasionally saw a report that someone had grafted watermelons with gourds to solve the problem of continuous cropping. She also wanted to try and finally succeeded in the experiment. The grafted watermelon is not only not affected by Fusarium wilt, but also has high yield and good quality. After the news came out, people of many kinds of melons came to order watermelon seedlings. In accordance with the requirements of the users, she bought back the best stickers and cultivated 40,000 watermelon seedlings for the masses in the greenhouse.

In order to master the latest technology, she successively went to Qingdao Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Shouguang to learn grafting technology, and innovated when she came back, so that her technical level became higher and higher, and the number of grafted watermelon seedlings increased from 40, 000 to 300000 per year. In addition to the village, the town scrambled to order, but also sold to other villages and towns. After the success of grafting watermelon seedlings, she took more and more steps. In October 2000, she invested 100000 yuan to build six winter warm greenhouses in the agricultural park of Puji town. in addition to grafting watermelon seedlings in the greenhouse, she also boldly introduced new varieties. Elizabeth muskmelon, Virgin Cherry Tomato, Longnu Cherry Tomato and other new varieties were planted in the shed, and achieved a bumper harvest. In accordance with the idea of "people without me, people with excellence, race change, step by step", she has successively planted more than a dozen new varieties, all of which have been successful.

With the standardization of agricultural production, the road to getting rich is getting wider and wider. In order to improve the quality of melons, fruits and vegetables and increase economic income, Sun Mingxia began to implement standardized agricultural production. She actively participated in the training course on agricultural standardization production held in Qingdao, conscientiously studied and mastered the basic knowledge of agricultural standardization, especially the production technology of pollution-free agricultural products, and carried out agricultural production in strict accordance with standardization. From the beginning of watermelon breeding, she has been using pollution-free pesticides and chemical fertilizers in accordance with the requirements of agricultural standardized production. Under her scientific management, the watermelons, tomatoes, cucumbers, melons and vegetables planted are of good quality, the prices are high, and the supply exceeds demand. The products are sold to Liqun, domestic products and other major supermarkets, and signed perennial supply contracts with major supermarkets, with an annual income of 120000 yuan.

A flower attracts the scent of a hundred flowers. Relying on science and technology and standardized agricultural production, Sun Mingxia embarked on the road to becoming rich. However, she did not forget her sisters when she got rich. In order to help more women get rich as soon as possible, she taught them the techniques of watermelon grafting and the cultivation of melons and tomatoes, and lent them free funds to build greenhouses. Zhang Shue, a woman in Xiaotun village, had no money to build a greenhouse due to lack of funds. when Sun Mingxia knew, she took the initiative to lend Zhang Shue 10,000 yuan to help her build a winter-warm greenhouse and give guidance on planting techniques, so that she quickly mastered the greenhouse planting technology, and her annual income reached more than 20,000 yuan. Driven and helped by Sun Mingxia, more than 50 women built winter-warm greenhouses and provided more than 20,000 watermelon seedlings free of charge to more than 20 women from poor families, helping them to shake off poverty and become rich.

Over the past few years, Sun Mingxia successively grafted more than 1 million watermelon seedlings, planted more than 2000 mu of watermelons, and created an output value of more than 3 million yuan. Led by her, a winter greenhouse covering an area of more than 200 mu has been built in the agricultural park of Puji Town, and standardized agricultural production has been implemented, so that women have paved a successful road to common prosperity with their own hands.
