If you work hard, you need to work skillfully. In the adjustment of planting structure, Fang Guangping, a villager of Mochuan Village in Fuwen Township, took the lead in the experiment of interplanting hanging melons in early-maturing tea fields with a sense of innovation and the idea of striving for benefits, and not only obtained a bumper harvest of tea and hanging melons, but also achieved gratifying benefits of doubling economic benefits, and accumulated valuable planting experience.

In 2003, Fang Guangping planted one mu of precocious tea, which achieved certain benefits in that year. But not satisfied with the status quo, he used his brain: can we plant another complementary crop in the tea border and ditch to make full use of soil fertility and increase economic benefits? After careful observation and careful consideration, he chose the high-level crop to hang melon. In 2005, he planted 40 hanging melons in the tea furrow. In 2006, hanging melons were on the shelves, harvesting more than 100 jin of melon seeds, making a profit of 1200 yuan, and under the hanging melon racks were precocious varieties of tea, which reduced the number and time of removing weeds for hanging melons, and also increased the temperature of tea in winter. promote spring tea to be picked three or four days in advance, playing a complementary role.

This year, Fang Guangping, who has found out the secret of it, let go of his hands and feet. After careful cultivation, one mu of tea has made a profit of 2500 yuan, and there are still two months to harvest. It is estimated that he can harvest 250jin of melon seeds, making a profit of about 2300 yuan, and the value per mu can reach 4,800 million yuan. Fang Guangping's successful experience in three-dimensional planting quickly spread among farmers, and everyone came to learn from it. This year, seven or eight farmers in the village have begun to follow suit and will soon be extended to other villages.
