Lai Chunmu: aim at the market and read the Pig Sutra

In 2001, Changting County made great efforts to develop ecological agriculture in remote mountains, and issued a series of supporting policies. Lai Chunmu, who was working as a handyman in Longyan at that time, heard the news and immediately returned to Zhuotian Town, Changting County, his hometown, ready to read the Pig Sutra. The government departments at the county and town levels provided him with venues, guaranteed loans and other services, and helped him set up an ecological farm on the hilltop of Nanan Village, Zhuotian Town, in 2002, when his pig farm had less than 100 pigs. Lai Chunmu is no stranger to raising pigs because he has been engaged in the pig trade in the past. in addition, he is hard-working, studious and inquisitive, and is good at meeting friends with "pigs", which makes his "Pig Sutra" better and better. Two years later, Lai Chunmu renamed the pig farm to Muchun Pig Development Co., Ltd., and served as general manager. At present, there are 350 sows and more than 2500 piglets, with an annual output of more than 6000. Business has entered Guangdong, Jiangxi, Hainan and other places, with an annual output value of more than 10 million yuan. Last spring, he planted more than 20,000 fir trees on the hills around the farm. Pig manure and urine flowed into the biogas digester, which can produce biogas and biogas dregs as fertilizer for fir trees. He also invested more than 200,000 yuan in sewage facilities and did a good job in the environmental protection of pig farms.

Lai Chunmu, who got rid of poverty and became rich, also led the surrounding farmers to raise pigs to become rich, and gave great help in terms of technology, funds, information, and so on. Over the past few years, more than 100 farmers have become large pig farmers with his support and assistance. He also donated six college students and often cared about and supported the public welfare undertakings in his hometown. In 2003, Lai Chunmu was awarded as "the city's top ten youth demonstration households" by Longyan Municipal Government, and in 2004, he was awarded as a municipal labor model. In 2008, he was awarded by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Ministry of Agriculture as "the leader of national rural youth entrepreneurship and prosperity".
