Xu Liuren: returning home to cultivate green pearls
Recently, 300 mu of green pearls owned by Xu Liuren, a farmer returning to his hometown in Paradise Village, Raobu Town, Poyang County, have been welcomed by the market. In 2004, Xu Liuren learned that many places due to pearl breeding pollution environment was stopped, good at thinking he immediately gave up working, went to Fujian to learn pearl breeding technology, in Poyang local agricultural department and environmental protection department experts under the guidance of breeding "green pearls." Xu Liuren strictly followed the requirement of less than 500 pearl shells per mu, and raised more than 20,000 four major fish in 300 mu pond for three-dimensional mixed culture of fish and pearls. Fish were fed with grass, fish discharged "green manure" to feed pearl shells, and pearl shells purified water quality, forming a virtuous cycle culture system. Although the yield of "green" pearls is much less than that of traditional fertilizer farming, due to the good water quality, the quality of pearls is better and the market price is higher.
