At present, the development of China's tea industry shows an imbalance in the supply of resources. At the same time, in the field of edible fungus cultivation, it is urgent to find new materials to ease the game between raw material demand and ecological environment. According to the needs of production and management of tea garden, a large number of tea trees need pruning, so tea tree waste is used as the raw material of edible fungus to turn waste into treasure. at the same time, edible fungus can obtain new, economic and sustainable large-scale raw materials.

The preparation method of edible fungus culture medium with tea branches and leaves as the main material is as follows: the tea branches and leaves are cut into pieces and weighed in bags. The dry base weight ratio of each additive is: tea waste 96%, urea 1%, gypsum 1%, calcium superphosphate 1%, cottonseed shell 1%. Gypsum, urea and calcium superphosphate were mixed evenly in water, then chopped tea branches and leaves and cottonseed shell were added and stirred evenly. The mixture was sterilized in a high-pressure steam sterilizer at a temperature of 121min for 30 minutes. The cultured mushroom grew rapidly, the dry weight of culture medium was 1kg, the mass of mushroom was 1704.2 g, and the biological conversion rate was about 170.4%.

At present, there are about 43 million mu of tea gardens in China, growing mushrooms in tea rows and rows. In the future, we can enjoy the scenery of the tea garden and pick mushrooms at the same time. Another leisure mode is to let the pot cultivation of edible fungi based on tea by-products come into the family and into thousands of families.
