On the evening of the 25th, it was reported that six baby orcas were collectively stranded on the Tianjin shore of Kaohsiung Banner. In the early morning of the 26th, five surviving individuals were transported to the four grass shelter pool of Chengda Marine Life and Cetacean Research Center. At 8: 00 in the morning, five baby orcas were able to float in the reception pool and swim in groups!

Director of Marine Protection Huang Xiangwen said that since the reception pool is full at present, it is rare to consider the situation of collective stranding, and there may be live stranding in the future, and units of large pools and circulatory systems have been coordinated to wait for assistance. The Chengda Cetacean Center has also announced the demand for volunteers on the Facebook fan page, hoping to increase the manpower for blood tests and physical condition records.

The Marine Protection Agency stated that on the afternoon of the 25th, anglers saw 20 to 30 whales infested in Qijin, Kaohsiung. The Fifth Coast Patrol of the Marine Patrol received a notification of the stranding of six baby orcas at night. The Marine Protection Rescue Network (MARN) of the Marine Protection Agency rushed to the scene for nearly six hours of emergency treatment and hanging operation, and there was still one baby orca at the scene. Five baby orcas with stable vital signs have been transferred to the four grass shelter pool of the Great Cetacean Center.

Because orcas have the habit of group movement, the Marine Protection Agency assessed that one of the stranded orcas was in poor health, resulting in collective haunting in the stranded area in order to accompany and support individuals in need of help. At 5: 00 a.m. on the 26th, the Marine Protection Agency also received a death report of two stranded individuals in nearby waters. At present, the Chengda shelter pool is fully loaded. Huang Xiangwen said that he has telephoned the coordination pool and circulatory system units to prepare for help in case of a rainy day, and called on private units to contact the Marine Protection Department and the Chengda Cetacean Research Center if they have pools or swimming pools with a diameter of more than 6 meters and access space for cranes.
