The development trend of rural economy in Kangxian County, Gansu Province is good.

Since the beginning of this year, Kangxian County has persisted in grasping post-disaster recovery and reconstruction on the one hand and rural economic construction on the other, and further speeding up the expansion of the industrial base in accordance with the characteristic industrial development idea of "walnut in the whole county, tea in the south and mulberry in the north". We will enhance the production and management capacity of leading enterprises, vigorously implement the strategy of strengthening the village and large households to drive development, constantly expand the scale of the base, and steadily advance agriculture and rural work. The county's rural economy is showing a good trend of development. in the first half of this year, the county achieved a total agricultural output value of 118.09 million yuan, an increase of 5.4 percent over the same period in 2008, with a growth rate of 4.8 percentage points.

In speeding up rural economic development, Kangxian County has fully implemented the policy of benefiting farmers. In the first half of this year, 13.18 million yuan in direct subsidy funds for grain and 4.052 million yuan in subsidies for various kinds of agricultural machinery were distributed.
