According to the chairman of Indonesia's Palm Oil Bureau, Indonesia's palm oil production is likely to increase to 20 million tons this year, according to the chairman of the Indonesian Palm Oil Authority. Indonesia's palm oil production is likely to grow by 5% to 21 million tons in 2010.

By 2015, the per unit yield of oil palms in Indonesia is likely to increase from the current 3.8 tons per hectare to 4.0 tons per hectare, as more oil palms will enter the mature stage and the resulting number will increase.
