The construction of irrigation and water conservancy in Xiao County, Anhui Province won the Gold Award of Jianghuai Cup.

A few days ago, the 14th "Jianghuai Cup" competition for irrigation and water conservancy capital construction in Anhui Province was announced. Xiao County's irrigation and water conservancy capital construction work won the gold medal for its innovative performance. Xiao County was also awarded the title of "National key County for Irrigation and Water Conservancy Capital Construction".

Last winter and this spring, Xiao County raised a total of 101.9 million yuan for water conservancy construction, harnessed 480000 mu of low-lying land, excavated 28 large ditches, 360 medium ditches and 3920 small ditches, restored 11380 field ditches and 4856 soil ditches, renovated 89 village ponds, completed 13.86 million earthwork, built 13470 new small bridges and culverts, restored 5485 small bridges and culverts, and built 475 new motor wells, exceeding the annual target.
