According to the person in charge of the exhibition area, the seeds of the two main varieties, Chinese cabbage and kale, were introduced from Hong Kong and then sold to Hong Kong, Macao, Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States, where the selling price can reach 15 yuan per jin. Last year, Guangdong cabbage, kale, milk cabbage and other vegetables began to show up in large hotels in Wuhan. The selling price of 7 yuan per jin is three times higher than that of ordinary cabbage. However, monthly sales are still growing by 40% and are planned to enter supermarkets this year.

Five or six asparagus on display at Xinchen Food, weighing half a jin net, sells for 10 yuan, while the average asparagus costs only 4 yuan per jin. There are broccoli, purple kale, are sold on a case-by-case basis, 5 yuan per tree. Zhang Hua, the store manager, said that these dishes are expensive because the seeds are imported. In the past, they sold mainly to Singapore, Japan and other countries. Since last year, it has been on sale in supermarkets in the city.

According to the analysis of industry insiders, the export market is becoming increasingly saturated, and the prospect of the mainland market is promising. In particular, high-end vegetables have increased their market share by 20% every year in the past two years.
