The Venezuelan government nationalized two coffee producers

According to the Miami Herald on November 13, 2009, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez ordered two companies, including Fama de America, Venezuela's largest coffee producer, to be nationalized. Fama de America and Cafea, another coffee company, control 80 per cent of the local coffee market.
