Zambia signs largest agricultural investment project

On December 12, the Zambian government signed an agreement on investment protection and promotion with the British company Chobe Agrivision. According to the agreement, the company will invest 50 million US dollars to develop 10, 000 hectares of arable land, with an estimated annual grain output of 120000 tons and 1600 jobs, which is the largest agricultural investment project signed by Zambia so far. The company plans to invest another 200 million US dollars in agricultural development in the next five years.
