Iran's "Citizen Daily" reported on November 15 that Saeed Mostafi Husseini, president of the Tehran dry Fruit Association, told the media that recently, walnuts from unknown countries were smuggled into the Iranian market from the west, but had not yet had an impact on the Iranian dried fruit market.
Husseini said there are reports that walnuts may have been smuggled from China and Malaysia.
