Moscow, November 9 (RIA Novosti)-Russian Vice Minister of Agriculture Korolyov said in a speech at the seminar on "strengthening the construction of grain logistics infrastructure to improve Russia's grain competitiveness" that grain production in the Siberian Federal District has increased steadily in recent years, reaching 20 million tons this year, and there are still 8 million tons available for export after meeting domestic demand, which should be provided to the Asia-Pacific region where food demand is growing.

He said that exports to the West face the practical problems of limited transport channels and too many competitors, while exports to Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, China and Indonesia can gain long-term benefits. however, it is necessary to develop Russia's far East grain logistics infrastructure to enhance the competitiveness of exported grain in the Asia-Pacific region market.
