Brasil Agro, a Brazilian agricultural and real estate company, will use the remainder of its $300 million IPO on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange in 2006 to invest in agriculture and expand its market share in Brazil, according to the company.

Brasil Agro plans to invest $100 million to buy farmland in Brazil.

Brazil Agro currently owns nearly 200,000 hectares of arable land in Brazil. Cresud Sacifya, Argentina's largest agricultural land-owning company, owns nearly 22.89% of BrazilAgro and runs it.

Cresud also plans to invest $20 million in the acquisition of farmland, farming and development in Uruguay.
