Last Updated: 2024/11/06, Argentine Ministry of Agriculture says the situation of Argentine wheat crops is uneven.

According to the weekly report released by Argentina's Ministry of Agriculture over the weekend, the wheat harvest has been completed by 8.6%.

Recently, the weather in the agricultural areas of central Argentina is good, and the local wheat crops are in good condition, but the dry weather in the southwest has affected the local wheat growth. In the Bahia Blanca area of Buenos Aires, wheat crops are severely damaged and many wheat fields are used as pastures.

According to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange in Argentina, wheat production this year will reach 7.75 million tons, far below the five-year average of 14.8 million tons.

The per unit yield of wheat in the southern region will be greatly reduced this year, but it is likely to increase in other regions, offsetting the losses in the southern region.

The domestic demand for wheat is about 6.5 million tons, which means that the export supply of wheat is only 1.25 million tons.
