-- the second of a series of reports on "improving the industrial quality of sea cucumbers is called Xiangweihai Sea Cucumber Brand"

"the purchase price of sea cucumber in Weihai last autumn was about 160 yuan per kilogram. This autumn, the price of sea cucumber cultured in ponds is about 200 yuan per kilogram, and the price of cofferdam and undersea sowing is 240 yuan to 300 yuan per kilogram, which is still in short supply." Talking about the reason why the price of sea cucumber is so skyrocketing at present, Dong Chongqiang, head of the Fisheries Section of the Municipal Bureau of Ocean and Fisheries, said, "the main reason is that the consumption of sea cucumber is becoming more and more popular, and the market demand for sea cucumber products continues to grow, but at present Weihai fresh ginseng is in short supply."

The rapid growth of consumer demand has brought the rapid expansion of sea cucumber aquaculture industry, making sea cucumber become the fifth aquaculture boom after algae, shellfish, shrimp and fish.

The output value of fresh ginseng in the city is nearly 6 billion yuan this year.

"in order to cultivate high-quality natural sea cucumbers, we must create a reef environment suitable for the growth of sea cucumbers." Xie Liande, chairman of Wuling de Shengyuanhai Treasure Culture Co., Ltd., said. At the beginning of 2001, Xie Liande and his relatives and friends raised 10 million yuan to try to build a reef artificially. All the 400 mu of sea areas confirmed by the state were changed into three-dimensional aquaculture, red snails and sea urchins were cultured in the upper layer, and sea cucumbers were cultured in the bottom layer. In 2003, after tasting the rich returns brought by sea cucumbers, Xie Liande increased the scale of sea cucumber culture. At present, the area of artificial reefs for raising sea cucumbers has reached more than 3000 mu. "de Shengyuan" sea cucumbers have been exported to more than 10 provinces and cities across the country, with an annual output value of nearly 10 million yuan.

In recent years, focusing on adjusting the fishery industrial structure, Weihai has accelerated the pace of sea treasure culture and regarded sea cucumber culture as a breakthrough to adjust the industrial structure and pull the marine fishery economy to a higher level, resulting in the rapid rise of sea cucumber aquaculture.

In the Tianhai Bay developed by Haodangjia Group, the reporter saw that the sea surface here was divided into wells by dams, making use of the range of ebb and tide to make the sea water circulate naturally and carry out three-dimensional aquaculture. Tang Chuanqin, chairman of the group, said: "these 30, 000 mu of sea surface receive 1 million kilograms of sea cucumbers a year, and now the price is 200 million yuan per kilogram, that is, 200 million yuan!" On September 16 this year, the "ecological mixed culture of sea cucumbers and jellyfish ponds" undertaken by Haodang Group successfully passed the acceptance of the Provincial Marine and Fisheries Department.

Rushan City explored the mixed culture of sea cucumber and asparagus, which effectively purified the culture water, eliminated the large number of pathogenic microorganisms caused by the accumulation of feces and residual bait, and reduced the probability of sea cucumber disease.

Since 2007, Beihai Fisheries Company in Huancui District has transformed the original fish pond into sea cucumber culture. At present, the culture area of sea cucumber pond has reached 2000 mu, and the artificial reef culture area is nearly 400mu.

Since the beginning of this year, Wendeng City has implemented the "standardized renovation Project of Sea Cucumber Pond". At present, it has transformed 15000 mu of standardized ginseng pond.

From traditional rock cofferdam culture to pond culture, cofferdam culture, bottom sowing and multiplication, raft cage culture, factory culture and so on, these new culture models and techniques have promoted the sustainable development of sea cucumber culture. In 2010, there were nearly 3000 sea cucumber breeding households in the city, with a total breeding area of more than 240000 mu, a total stock of nearly 1 billion sea cucumbers, and a fresh ginseng output value of nearly 6 billion yuan.

The breeding of sea cucumber needs to be prevented before it happens.

Sea cucumber culture is an intermediate link in the development of the whole sea cucumber industry. the level of culture and disease prevention ability are directly related to the output and quality of sea cucumbers. Experts pointed out that in the face of the heat of sea cucumber breeding, it is necessary to keep a clear head and take precautions.

Tang Tingyao, a professor at the School of Oceanography at Weihai Campus of Shandong University, told reporters that at present, many social funds are invested in the sea cucumber industry, resulting in blind production due to lack of professional knowledge and low level of management, which is reflected in the fact that some farmers have too high culture density. do not master the regulation technology of water quality, daily management and monitoring are not in place, not in time. If these restrictive factors affecting the healthy growth of sea cucumber industry are not solved in time, they will become the bottleneck of industrial development.

How to solve this bottleneck? Relevant people pointed out that so far, although the Ministry of Agriculture has formulated technical norms for sea cucumber culture, because the publicity is not in place, farmers know little about it, and there is a lot of arbitrariness and blindness in the breeding process. The urgent task is to strengthen the publicity and implementation of cultural technical norms and standardize aquaculture behavior. The reporter learned in the interview that in order to implement the spirit of the on-site observation meeting for the development of the city's sea cucumber industry, the Municipal Bureau of Ocean and Fisheries recently formulated the "relevant regulations on Seedling and Culture of Sea Cucumber in Weihai City (discussion draft)" and the "measures for Supervision, Inspection and Administration of Sea Cucumber production Enterprises (discussion draft)," which are being submitted to the relevant departments of the province for examination and approval. Wang Yimin, former director of Weihai Fisheries Research Institute, pointed out that sea cucumber farmers should strictly control the quality of parent cucumbers and the use of drugs, appropriately adjust the seedling density according to the sea area and bait conditions, do a good job in water quality inspection, scientifically enter and discharge water, formulate technical operation standards and strictly follow the norms of production, and pay attention to observing the cleanliness of the pond bottom and the salinity of the pool water in flood season.
