Shrimp farmers on the western coast of India see good prospects for Pacific white shrimp farming. Shrimp farmers on the west coast are preparing to make a fortune by farming Penaeusvannamei, also known as Pacific White Shrimp or South American White Shrimp, native to a variety of prawns from Sonora province in the eastern Pacific to northern Peru, and widely grown in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Ecuador, Mexico and Brazil.

India's central government is ready to raise prawns, which have won praise on the east coast, on the west coast, the Daily News and Analysis (DNA) reported. Shivaprakash, director of the Ankola Uttara Kannada Regional Shrimp Culture Center, said that although this is a new species, it is widely cultivated in Japan, China, the United States and parts of Europe, and the total production can only meet their domestic needs. India has the right water and temperature to cultivate this shrimp, which will be the best farming area.

Aquaculture farmers on the east coast have made a lot of money from farming Penaeus vannamei, according to the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI).
