These vegetables packed in paper bags sell for about $20 in the market and have a special status as "vegetables for export (to Hong Kong)". Guangzhou Tianxian Trading Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as "Tianxian Company") is responsible for the free delivery.

"Vegetables supplied to Hong Kong" means vegetables supplied to Hong Kong. As early as two years ago,"vegetables for Hong Kong" had been stationed in Guangzhou supermarkets, but it did not attract widespread attention. Since 2011, food safety incidents have occurred frequently in the Mainland, and "vegetables for Hong Kong" have taken advantage of the situation to enter supermarkets in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places, which are widely sought after by the market.

At present, Tianxian Company has planned to distribute "vegetables for Hong Kong" free of charge in 100 high-end residential areas and villas in Guangzhou to win customers through consumer experience. Like "Tian Xian Company", many vegetable enterprises supplying Hong Kong have keenly grasped the broad prospects of the domestic market and are gearing up to expand domestic sales channels. However, problems have also arisen from this.

Domestic sales of "vegetables for Hong Kong" mixed, difficult to distinguish between true and false, nevertheless, in the face of frequent food safety incidents, consumers are still quite popular.

Domestic sales big business

"The reason why mainland consumers are pursuing vegetables for Hong Kong now is that there have been too many food safety incidents in the Mainland in recent years, and secondly, they trust the system of supplying vegetables to Hong Kong." Dongguan city Shijie Runfeng International Vegetable Trading Center (hereinafter referred to as "Runfeng") General Manager Wang Zhiming said.

Information from Yunnan, Ningxia and other places, as well as information from vegetable production enterprises supplying Hong Kong, shows that domestic sales of vegetables supplied to Hong Kong are becoming a prairie fire.

With the urbanization development of Shenzhen, Dongguan and other places, the vegetable bases for Hong Kong have gradually moved northward from these places to Qingyuan, Heyuan, Shaoguan, Yunfu and other places in Guangdong Province. In recent years, they have developed to Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Yunnan, Guizhou and other provinces.

For example, Ningxia Zhongwei introduced three agricultural companies from Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Dongguan in 2010, and developed 5700 mu vegetable base for Hong Kong. The city plans to build 30,000 mu of vegetable bases for Hong Kong by 2013.

More companies plan to expand production. Chen Feng, a Hong Kong native, has owned 5000 mu of vegetable bases for Hong Kong in Yunnan, Guangdong and other places before, but he still plans to expand the scale. What he wants to expand is the domestic market.

As early as 2007, Chen Feng had the idea of making vegetable gifts. In early 2011, he received a phone call from a man named Lu Jifu, Lu asked him if he was willing to cooperate in selling vegetables to Hong Kong, so the two hit it off.

In August this year, Lv, Chen and three other investors invested in Guangzhou Tianxian Trading Co., Ltd., mainly engaged in agricultural product planting, processing, trade, import and export, logistics, etc., and directly distributed safe and high-quality vegetables exported (for Hong Kong) to "high-end household users and enterprise users" in the Mainland.

However, due to lack of supervision, there are still irregularities in the domestic sales of "vegetables for Hong Kong". According to Guangzhou Media New Express, the price signs of vegetables located in the "Vegetables for Hong Kong" area of TASTE Supermarket in Guangzhou China Plaza are all named "Special Selection ××" instead of "Vegetables for Hong Kong ××", and there is no information on the origin; Taikoo Hui Ole 'supermarket sells leftovers for Hong Kong.

In order to win the trust of consumers,"Tian Xian Company" has entrusted the world's largest testing company Swiss General Standard (SGS) to test according to the AA level standard of Chinese green food.
