She is an ordinary girl with long hair and loves to laugh. In order to work for herself, she started her own business-raising chickens ecologically and selling chickens with Weibo. Not going the usual way, the post-90s realized her dream of starting a business in the countryside step by step.

Jia Meng, a post-90s girl in Kaifeng, sells chickens on Weibo.

Post-90s girls raise chickens

From rookie to quasi-expert

Yesterday morning, in an 80-acre chicken farm in the western suburbs of Zhengzhou, camphor, safflower locust and other trees could be seen far away, and the sound of chickens was heard from time to time in the green.

Jia Meng put on his "white coat" and rubber shoes and went to the chicken coop to "invite out" more than 2000 firewood chickens with the workers. Feed, clean the chicken coop, get vaccinated. Now she is already familiar with all this.

"in fact, I knew very little about raising chickens before," she said, slowly learning and practicing according to the instructions in the book. "the feed for chickens is mainly soybean meal and corn, which is made by themselves, and the proportion varies at different stages."

When it comes to raising chickens, she seems to be an expert. "caged chickens can be raised in 45 days. Free-range chickens here usually have to be raised for half a year before they grow to 3 jin."

Jia Meng, a native of Kaifeng, Henan Province, was born in 1991. After graduating from high school, Jia Meng worked in a hotel in Zhengzhou. "there are always people who say that the chicken doesn't taste good," says Jia Meng, so he has the idea of running a chicken farm. "if you keep chickens in bulk, the chicken is tight and delicious."

Sell chickens on Weibo

They drive 20 miles to buy chickens.

Sales is not as simple as imagined, how to let more people know? As a post-90s hipster, Jia Meng remembered selling chickens on Tencent Weibo. On Sept. 16, she sent out her first Weibo post about selling chickens.

On the afternoon of Sept. 28, Mr. Zhang, a citizen, drove to the chicken farm. "We saw ecological chickens here on Tencent Weibo. We drove more than 20 miles."

"here a chicken is 65 yuan and an egg is 1.3 yuan, which is twice the market price." But ecological farming takes a long time and a lot of investment, which is acceptable, Mr. Zhang said.

"in the seven days of National Day holiday, we sold more than 300 firewood chickens." According to Jia Meng, many people know about their chicken farm through Weibo.

"the water quality here is also very good," said Jia Meng, and there is also a fish pond. "people who come to buy chicken in the future can also fish here, which is very pastoral."

Ecological breeding is the firm choice and dream of this post-90s girl. She is different and unique.
