Last Updated: 2024/11/08, Vegetable expert Ying Fangqing: the yield of the tomato she cultivated is as high as 30,000 jin per mu.

If you meet her on the road, you will think that this is just an ordinary rural woman. In fact, she is a vegetable expert who has won nearly 30 awards from the State Council, the Ministry of Agriculture, Henan Province and Zhengzhou.

Vegetable expert Ying Fangqing: the yield of the tomato she cultivated is as high as 30,000 jin per mu.

Her name is Ying Fangqing, the host of tomato project in Zhengzhou vegetable Research Institute. The yield of one mu of ordinary tomato is about 15000 jin, while the variety she cultivates has a high yield of about 30, 000 jin.

On October 7, a reporter from Henan Business Daily came to Zhengzhou vegetable Research and Development Center to work in the field with agricultural scientists.

The high-yield tomato she cultivated is called Fanda.

"Hello, where is teacher Ying Fangqing, please?" At 1 pm yesterday, when the reporter arrived at the tomato greenhouse of Zhengzhou vegetable Research and Development Center, he saw two women working in the greenhouse.

Hearing the reporter's inquiry, the older woman raised her head, her red-and-black face obviously went through a lot of sun, and her hair was combed back at random. "I am. Are you the reporter who just called? Didn't you say you want to take part in our work? It just so happens, come and branch the tomato. " There is no polite tone in the words.

The girl who works with Ying Fangqing is a graduate student at Huazhong Agricultural University who has just graduated this year.

"the varieties here are not high-yielding varieties. Each plant can only bear six or seven ears, and one mu of land will produce about 15000 jin." The high-yield tomato cultivated by Ying teacher is called Fanda, which has been popularized and planted to nearly 100000 mu.

"Fanda is an infinitely growing variety. Each tree can bear about 15 ears, and those with more than one mu of land can produce 30,000 jin, and the fruiting period is also long. for example, if you sow seeds at the beginning of September, it will not take long for New Year's Day to harvest fruit, and you can always receive it at the end of May. Ordinary tomatoes only produce about 15000 jin per mu of land. "

While Ying Fangqing taught the reporter to fork the tomato in hand, she introduced her new variety: "Fanda requires relatively high planting conditions, needs a suitable solar greenhouse, and needs sufficient sunlight. In addition, it also has certain requirements for heat preservation and overwintering cultivation. It takes about ten months to grow a crop. "

High-yield tomato not only brings benefits to vegetable farmers, but also brings honor to Ying Fangqing. In 2007, she won the first prize for scientific and technological achievements of Henan Academy of Agricultural Sciences. In 2008, Henan Province and Zhengzhou City also awarded the second prize for scientific and technological progress of the project.

Soilless cultivation on the family balcony costs only 700 yuan.

Working with Ying Fangqing, everyone was extraordinarily quick, and by two o'clock in the afternoon, the tomatoes in an acre of land had already finished branching. "Let's go and help Gong Pan with his work."

Gong Pan is another researcher at the vegetable Research and Development Center, mainly making sightseeing vegetables. "because of the large amount of work, everyone went to work with him today."

Walking into the greenhouse that Gong Pan was in charge of, the reporter found that unlike the mud land in Ying Fangqing's shed, most of the ground here was covered with bricks and cleaned very clean.

"this part of the scaffolding is soilless, so let's plant Hong Kong soft-tailed lettuce into it right away." With these words, a colleague came over with vegetable seedlings. Pick up a seedling, wrap a sponge around the small plastic basin at the root, put it in the sink, and a lettuce will be planted.

"Sponge mainly plays a fixed role," says Ying Fang-ching. After planting, lettuce can grow into a finished product in about a month. "the water in the sink is not ordinary water, but a prepared nutrient solution."

The scaffolding of soilless cultivation is composed of plastic growth columns, which are connected by plastic pipes. One square meter can set up two such growth columns, each with 60 sinks and can grow 60 vegetables.
