Intercropping of forest and vegetable. Intercropping chili, leek and other vegetable crops in kiwifruit orchard, make full use of land gap, promote efficient planting model, and increase farmers' income. Li Sanxi, a farmer in Huangshi Village, Wuliqiao Town, the county, increased his income through the forest-vegetable intercropping model. He interplanted 3 mu of chili peppers in kiwifruit fields, and his net income increased by more than 8000 yuan this year. At present, the county has developed a forest-vegetable intercropping base of 22000 mu, with an annual output value of 69 million yuan.

Forest medicine interplanting. The use of woodland or unformed woodland, intercropping Sichuan island Bupleurum, astragalus, blood ginseng and other medicinal plants. Du Shuwei, a medicine farmer in Taiping Town of the county, used barren mountain woodland to interplant 5 mu of blood ginseng, earning a total of more than 30,000 yuan this year, making him a famous "king of medicine" in the county. At present, the area of traditional Chinese medicine planted under the forest in the county is 16000 mu, with an annual output value of 78 million yuan.

Forest birds raise each other. Make use of the space under the forest to raise poultry such as chickens, ducks and geese, develop the breeding industry, and realize the symbiosis and mutual benefit of forest birds. Li Junliang, a villager of Sanlihao Group in Xiahe Village, Taiping Town, County, leased 60 mu of land and raised 12000 native chickens under the dogwood forest, with an annual income of nearly 500000 yuan.

Symbiosis of forest bacteria. Taking advantage of the characteristics of high air humidity, low light intensity and edible fungi like shade and humidity under the shade, straw such as corn and rice straw were used as the main raw materials to develop straw rot fungi. This development model has been widely promoted in Beishan Township of the county. The county has planted more than 9600 mu of edible fungi dominated by bamboo sun fungus and Pleurotus ostreatus, driving more than 16000 households, with an annual output value of 380 million yuan.
