Pengshui original pig farm new version of circular economy: pig manure to produce biogas and power generation, biogas is the crop "super nutrient solution"

In front of me, there are two huge gas tanks and a miniature power station. I can't believe I'm standing in a pig farm.

"I only heard that water and coal could generate electricity, but the smelly pig manure finally turned into electricity!" Yesterday, Yang Longzhi, a villager living on the edge of a pig farm, said with emotion.

The "big guy" in the small mountain village

This is a small hill in Baojia Town, Pengshui Autonomous County, where seven villagers live.

In May last year, Jiyuan animal husbandry Pengshui original pig farm with a total investment of 21 million yuan was officially put into operation here.

"in addition to the original pig farm, which keeps 500 ancestral sows all the year round, there is also a secondary breeding farm with 450 foreign binary sows and a fattening farm with an annual production of 10,000 foreign three-yuan commercial pigs." Xie Xingrong, general manager of Jiyuan Co., Ltd.

It is reported that the breeding farm has introduced the latest and best breeding pig breeds, such as New British, New American and Canadian, which can provide 4000 fine ancestral purebred pigs and 6000 hybrid sows for the southeast of Chongqing every year.

This large farm produces more than 10 tons of fresh pig manure and hundreds of cubic meters of sewage every day.

However, the large-scale biogas project with a total investment of 4.5 million yuan has completely solved the pollution problem.

Smelly smoked pig manure "becomes" electricity

"according to the different raw materials, the two-stage anaerobic fermentation process was adopted to effectively solve the problem of manure treatment in the farm." Technician Ju Jian said, "the biogas produced by the fermentation tank is purified and stored in the gas storage tank."

Next to two huge gas tanks is a miniature power station.

"the biogas project treats 12.5 tons of fresh faeces and 125 cubic meters of sewage per day, and produces 464 cubic meters of biogas per day." According to Ju Jian, these biogas provide free gas for office and domestic use in pig breeding farms and seven surrounding farmers, but no more than 50 cubic meters are needed every day.

About 90% of the remaining biogas is sent to micro-power stations to generate electricity.

The electricity is also sent to every corner of the pig breeding farm and seven farmhouses through the line.

"my refrigerator, washing machine and rice cooker all use biogas electricity for free." Yang Longzhi said with a smile.

"if the power station is operating at full capacity, it can generate 1000 kilowatt-hours a day." Xie Xingrong said, but in fact, pig breeding farms and farmers simply do not need that much.

"only 1/3 of biogas is actually used." Xie Xingrong has some regrets, "the excess can only be discharged at present."

A better way is to pipe the excess biogas to Baojia Market Town, two kilometers away.

"but the one-time investment is relatively high, and we need to set up a pressurization station, so it hasn't been done yet." Xie Xingrong said.

Waste biogas slurry turns into "super fertilizer"

According to Zeng Linfang, director of the Pengshui Science and Technology Commission, the biogas project in the pig farm is "quite high in science and technology."

Standing by the biogas digester, you can hardly smell anything bad.

"using the waste heat of the 50 kilowatt biogas generator set to keep the temperature of the two-stage biogas digester at about 35 degrees, pig manure can be fermented quickly and fully." Introduced by Zeng Linfang.

With enough biogas, pig breeding farms use fierce stoves, large rice cookers, water heaters and other equipment. Nearby farmers not only use biogas to cook food, but also use biogas to cook pig food, eliminating the need to burn firewood.

"what pleases me most is the waste biogas slurry from the biogas project." Yang Longzhi said.

Since the biogas project was put into operation in October 2009, he, like other farmers around him, began to use this free biogas slurry to water crops and never spent money on a grain of chemical fertilizer.

"the seed farm produces 45600 tons of biogas slurry every year, and can also produce 1368 tons of pollution-free organic fertilizer." Xie Xingrong said that at present, the surrounding villagers have only made use of a very small part of them.

In order to make full use of biogas slurry and organic fertilizer, the seed farm is currently working with the local to build a 1000 mu pollution-free vegetable base. The vegetable base is only about 100 meters away from the biogas digester. At present, the laying of the pipe network has been completed.
