Turbot is a freshwater fish, we will call this fish commonly known as turbot. Most turbot is now artificial culture, the vitality of this fish is relatively strong, suitable for artificial culture, and economic benefits are relatively high. Below, let's take a look at the breeding technology of turbot and see what precautions are taken when breeding turbot.

I. Breeding facilities

include fish culture workshop, culture pond, oxygenation, temperature regulation, dimming, wat inlet and outlet, water treatment facilities and analytical laboratories. Fish workshop should be selected in the coastal water quality, pollution-free, can be drilled sea water wells shore construction, workshop to maintain quiet, good thermal insulation performance. Fish pond area to 30~60 square meters is appropriate, the average pool depth of about 80 cm.

II. Environmental conditions

The main physical and chemical factors of water quality shall meet the following requirements:

1. Water quality: There is no pollution source on the sea surface near the breeding area, no mud, little sediment concentration, clear water quality, which meets the national fishery secondary water quality standard (consult the local fishery administrative department). The well water quality is excellent, does not contain any sediment and dirt, the water quality is transparent, clear, does not contain harmful heavy metal ions, sulfide does not exceed 0.02mg/L, the total number of Escherichia coli is less than 5000/L, salinity is above 20. In order to test the quality of well water, a small number of fry can be used for trial breeding, and then cultured and produced when the fry are normal.

2, light: turbot is a benthic fish, light should not be too strong, 500~1500Lux is appropriate. The light should be uniform, soft, not dazzling, and comfortable. The rhythm of light is the same as natural light.

3, water temperature: turbot is a cold water fish, the tolerance temperature range is 3~23℃, the suitable temperature for culture is 10~20℃, the growth is faster under the water temperature of 14~19℃, and the best culture water temperature is 15~18℃.

4. Salinity: The adaptive salinity range of turbot culture is wide, the tolerance salinity range is 12~40, the suitable salinity is 20~32, and the most suitable salinity is 25~30. It is recommended to culture under the most suitable salinity conditions.

pH: The pH of the aquaculture water should be higher than 7.3, and it is best to maintain it between 7.6 and 8.2.

Dissolved oxygen: greater than 6mg/L.

III. Fry selection

Fry is the most important link in production. Fry of more than 5 cm should be purchased. Before purchasing fry, parent fish germplasm, fry quality and technical level of nursery farm should be investigated. It must be purchased from national seed farm or nursery farm designated by government. The seedlings are required to be complete in shape, without injury, disability, deformity and albinism. The seedlings of the same batch are neat in specification, both eyes are located on the left side of the body, the side with eyes is greenish brown, there are punctate melanin, and the side without eyes is smooth and white. Fry body surface bright, smooth, no scars, no dark hair, redness symptoms, strong activity, gill silk neat, no inflammation and parasites.

In fact, turbot culture method is very simple, but the choice of fry is very important, fry selection is the key to culture turbot. General to choose some of the more excellent fry, to choose some lively point, or it is easy to die. In addition, turbot is a freshwater fish that is easily infected with fish diseases. It must be managed more in the process of breeding at ordinary times to prevent the occurrence of fish diseases.
