Through the long-term experimental comparison of many kinds of wild grass species on the roof, a specific grass species-Phyllostachys pubescens in South China was selected under the control of ornamental, stress resistance, root growth law and so on. On the basis of screening wild grass species, Huang Aiping focused his research and development on the construction of rooftop green space ecosystem. In 2006, he and the South China Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly developed the "natural ecological roof" greening technology, which was further developed into the "green space sticker" technology after upgrading in 2008.

Speaking of the research and development of "green space stickers", Huang Aiping naturally mentioned the "band-aids" that are always available in every family's medicine cabinet, which is a convenient and effective way for people to treat skin wounds. He hopes to develop a product that can also be so convenient when treating injuries to the urban environment damaged by a large number of buildings. Just stick the pre-cultivated straw blanket on the roof of the building. So he began the production experiment of building thermal insulation lawn according to the principle of band-aid. In the seedling base of the company in Quannan County, Jiangxi Province, there is a lush grass blanket growing in a square. This is Huang Aiping's magic weapon for the rapid implementation of roof greening-"green sticker". The main grass species selected by the grass blanket is paving bamboo grass, and the matrix is only 2 centimeters thick. Using the principle of making dumplings, the soil is wrapped in the middle with plant matrix, and the grass is planted on it, and the roof can be placed after the grass becomes a flat.
