Not long ago, in an interview with a CCTV daily agricultural economic reporter, many people mistook a Belgian rabbit for a hare, and of course many deliberately took other rabbits as hares. What is the benefit of pure hare breeding?

A rabbit breeding base in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, has been experimenting with hare breeding since 2007, and it has been 3 years now. A CCTV reporter witnessed at the farm that less than five minutes after the farm staff took the hare out of the cage, I don't know how many times the rabbit hit the fence, and all the blood left behind after they hit the fence. As we all know, an ordinary rabbit, even if it is outside, no matter how hard it pushes it, it will not run away. by comparison, we can conclude that the rabbit that rampaged and banged its head should be a real pure hare.

Song Yigen, president of Zhejiang Jinhua hare breeding professional cooperative, said that pure hare breeding is definitely not effective now. According to the exploration over the past few years, pure wild rabbit meat breeding, really want to breed and sell, no more than 100 yuan per jin, will have to lose money. This farm has been raised for several years, and the pure hare caught has also successfully bred the next generation. Why is it not effective? It is understood that this is mainly because the cost of raising hares is very high.

The first reason for the high cost is that the reproduction rate is not high. In general, 2-3 rabbits are bred at a time, and some are 1 or 4 at a time, but most of them are 2-3, which is half less than that of rabbits. Second, in order to maintain the wild nature of these hares, it must be given a large enough space for stocking. In this way, the surrounding walls should be more than two meters high, and the ground should be hardened to prevent it from drilling holes and escaping. In addition, it is also necessary to prevent male rabbits from fighting and biting each other, which will increase the cost of raising hares. At the same time, the mortality rate of hare is high. Over the past three years, this farm has purchased thousands of live hares, and spent more than 200,000 yuan on rabbits alone. today, 95% of the hares have died, and only a few little hares have been bred. This also makes the pure hare living here cost far more than 100 yuan per jin.
