Last Updated: 2024/09/16, Xundian thousand mu "Valley Flower Fish" will earn nearly one million.

Due to the serious drought, paddy field fish farming, a three-dimensional agricultural farming method with the integration of rice cultivation and aquaculture, has become one of the effective ways to increase the income of poor farmers in mountainous and semi-mountainous areas. The reporter learned from the Municipal Bureau of Agriculture that this year, the city's rice field and fish culture projects are respectively arranged to be implemented in Luquan, Fumin, and Xundian counties and districts, with each county planning to implement 700mu, and the entire project will reach 2100 mu. And Xundian County in addition to the planned implementation of 700 mu, will also increase the promotion area of 570 mu. The net income of one mu of rice field fish culture is 723 yuan, and the 1270 mu rice field fish culture plan will bring farmers nearly one million yuan of income.

Rice field fish culture refers to a three-dimensional agricultural farming method that excavates fish ditches and fish slips in a certain area in rice fields and integrates rice cultivation and aquaculture. In order to further promote the 2100 mu rice field fish culture project in the city, the Fisheries Administration and Law Enforcement Bureau organized a rice field fish culture training course in the Lishan Village Committee of Maoshan Town. On the basis of understanding the development, significance, principle, production measures, methods and experience of fish culture in rice field, the villagers designed the best culture mode.

Although the excavation of fish ditches and fish slips reduces a certain planting area of rice fields, fish ditches are conducive to air circulation and sunlight, and plants can carry out photosynthesis more fully; when fish are raised in rice fields, fish droppings can also be used as fertilizers for rice to create good conditions for the growth of rice; in addition, fish can also be used to remove pests and weeds in the fields and reduce the use of pesticides.

According to the person in charge of the Fisheries Office of the Xundian Agricultural Bureau, the fish raised in the rice fields in the village of Jinsuo last year were booked out at a price as high as 80 yuan per kilogram. What makes the fish in the rice field sell at such a high price? The reason is that, in order to ensure the quality of rice, fish grown in rice fields are not fed with feed, but mainly feed on rice flowers, mosquito larvae, rice bran and wheat paste, without any pollution, sweet meat and eco-friendly. It also has a good-sounding name: "Grain Flower Fish". Zhang Chaokun, Fisheries Station of the Xundian Agriculture Bureau, said: "the fish raised in the rice fields are not only delicious, but also pollution-free green food. Raising fish in rice fields is very beneficial to improve the quality of rice and fish. "

Last year, Xundian promoted 1260 mu of rice field fish culture in the county, with a yield of 25 kilograms per mu, calculated at 35 yuan per kilogram, with an output value of 875 yuan per mu. After deducting the cost of fry and digging fish ditches, the net income of fish culture in one mu of rice field is 723 yuan, which is better than that of one mu of rice. Taking advantage of the good momentum of last year, Xundian plans to complete 1270 mu of rice field fish culture this year, and promote it in Qixing and Rende respectively. The farmed fish are mainly Jian carp and Xiangyun carp.

In order to ensure the high-quality completion of rice and fish culture models this year, so as to drive more farmers to participate, the Xundian Agricultural Bureau organized a total of 12 leaders in charge of township agriculture, agricultural staff, village committee personnel, and farmers in Qixing and Rende rice and fish culture model areas. to Malong County to inspect and learn rice and fish culture techniques and learn lessons on the spot. Zhang Chaokun said that in order to better promote rice field fish culture, the aquaculture station plans to increase the income of rice field fish culture in the county from several aspects such as increasing input and food input, standardizing fish ditch digging, and fish fry specifications. At present, the county has completed the ordering and breeding of fish fry in rice fields. It is understood that the aquaculture station will organize the release of fish fry at the end of June, and in late September, the fish in the rice fields will be available on the market.
