Recently, the author visited Wang Yongdong, a big autumn and winter vegetable grower in Fengxiang Town, Zhongshan County. Wang Yongdong has planted more than 100 mu of autumn and winter vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, mustard and winter bamboo shoots this year, all of which are order agriculture in cooperation with Fujian bosses. He told me that he has also planted 120 mu of grain crops this year, and his net income can reach hundreds of thousands of yuan. Because the grain fields are rented, the lease period is one year, after the rice harvest, in order not to let the fields idle, they start to plant autumn and winter vegetables.

It is understood that at present, Fengxiang Town has planted more than 3000 mu of special autumn and winter vegetables such as Chinese cabbage, mustard, winter bamboo shoots and lettuce, an increase of more than 1000 mu over last year, and it is expected that the planting benefit of autumn and winter vegetables will increase by 1500 yuan per mu.

The county actively guides farmers to vigorously develop the cultivation of autumn and winter vegetables through the form of "four-wheel drive", such as departmental organization and mobilization, enterprise-peasant linkage, demonstration model drive, policy subsidy promotion and so on. Rely on the leading enterprises to create a demonstration base, adopt the production and management model of "company + base + farmers", and form an one-stop service for the production, supply and marketing of autumn and winter vegetables. At present, the county has established three thousand mu demonstration bases for autumn and winter vegetables in Huilongdongzhai Village, Longjing Village, Zhongshan Town, and Yingjia Village, Qingtang Town; the county has completed an area of 123000 mu of autumn and winter vegetables, calculated on the basis of an average yield of 5000 yuan per mu, with an estimated total output value of more than 600 million yuan, and the cultivation of autumn and winter vegetables has become a "new favorite" for local farmers to get rich.
