Rice can be turned into tea, fish farming can be done without changing water, and vegetables can be grown without fertilization. These may sound incredible things, but they are actually very creative modern agricultural projects.

Yesterday, the final of the second Agricultural Bank Cup Modern Agricultural creativity Competition for College students in Zhejiang Province was held at Zhejiang Agriculture and Forestry University. The competition received 40 creative projects reported by various localities and relevant universities, involving science and technology, deep processing, leisure and tourism, agricultural product marketing and farming.

After returning from Australia, Su Xiaoyi and his team brought an ecological development project called Pond Ecological Recycling Agriculture. To put it simply, fish, shrimp and soft-shelled turtle are mixed in the water, and then soilless cultivation is used to grow aquatic vegetables on the water. In this way, the nitrogen and phosphorus produced by fish can be absorbed and utilized by vegetables, and the growth of vegetables provides a good environment for fish. "Fish farming does not change water and the water quality is not harmful, and growing vegetables thrives without fertilizing." So summed up by Su Xiaoyi.

Yesterday, together with this creative competition, the Fifth Modern Agricultural Employment and Entrepreneurship Job Fair for College students in Zhejiang Province was held. A total of 1149 jobs were provided by 234 agricultural enterprises, farmers' professional cooperatives and county (city) agricultural departments. More than 3000 students came to apply and finally signed 2132 letters of intent. (our reporter Wu Zhaoxiang)
