Changfeng strawberry: brand value is more than 1.5 billion yuan
On August 17, the Strawberry Association of Changfeng County, Anhui Province received the "2013 Certificate of Regional Public Brand value Evaluation of Agricultural products in China" issued by the China Agricultural products Regional Public Brand value Evaluation Research Group. The certificate proves that the value of Changfeng Strawberry brand has reached 1.53 billion yuan in 2013, ranking second in the value of strawberry brand in China.
"Changfeng strawberry" is a national "landmark" agricultural product in Hefei. After more than 20 years of sustainable development, Changfeng strawberry industry has become a new agricultural pillar industry in Changfeng County. Last year, Changfeng County had a strawberry planting area of 195000 mu, making it the largest protected strawberry planting county in the country, with an average output value of 23000 yuan per mu, a net income of 15000 yuan per mu, a total output of 350000 tons and an output value of more than 4.5 billion yuan. The county has nearly 80, 000 strawberry growers, employing 170000 people and benefiting about 350000 farmers.
Changfeng County attaches great importance to the brand cultivation of "Changfeng Strawberry" and has issued a series of policies to support the development of strawberry industry. The county finance allocates 5 million yuan a year, which is mainly used in the selection and reward of strawberry production and management subjects, strawberry high-quality seedling breeding and experimental demonstration subsidies, and agricultural products quality and safety testing subsidies. In July this year, Changfeng County issued the "detailed rules for the implementation of the reward and subsidy Policy for the introduction, cultivation and Seedling breeding of New Strawberry varieties in Changfeng County," defining the conditions for the introduction, cultivation and additional compensation of new varieties, so as to promote the implementation of the policy.
Since 2010, Changfeng County began to apply to participate in the regional public brand value evaluation of agricultural products in China, and the brand value was 559 million yuan in that year. Three years later, the county once again declared to participate in the evaluation of the regional public brand value of China's agricultural products, and the brand value of "Changfeng Strawberry" reached 1.53 billion yuan, an increase of nearly 1 billion yuan over 2010.
