He not only grows vegetables, but also raises pigs and chickens. For more than a year, he has been exploring aquaculture technology, expanding the scale of aquaculture, and has been called "aquaculture talent" by relatives and friends.

Realize the value of life

In early 2008, he went out to work and was deeply appreciated by the boss of the construction site. But he wanted to go home and start a career, so he resolutely refused preferential treatment and went back to his hometown to start a business. Fuqin Livestock and Poultry Farm has been set up in Baihe Village, Nanjiang Town, Nanjiang County. at present, it has raised 100 pigs, more than 1000 native chickens, guinea fowl and Chicken Wings and Legs with Brown Sauce, and planted 30 mu of vegetables with an annual income of more than 500,000 yuan.

When he first returned to his hometown, the entrepreneurial project had been bothering him. By chance, he wandered around the village and found that a large area of land in the village was desolate, and it was a pity to waste resources. He had the idea of developing ecological aquaculture in his mind. At the same time, after a large number of market research, it is concluded that: now many people like the original products, which is in line with the psychology of public consumption, is a good project to get rich. As a result, he used his 10 mu of land and contracted more than 20 mu of land for nearby farmers to grow seasonal vegetables in rural areas.

From layman to aquaculture expert

Get up at four o'clock in the morning to pick vegetables, and ride the fire tricycle for half an hour after six o'clock to sell vegetables in the market. After selling vegetables at noon, he rode the fire tricycle to the nearby tofu factory to buy tofu dregs. When he got home, he immediately fermented tofu dregs.

After a short rest, he went to the field with a hoe to water and weed the vegetables and clean the chicken and pig sheds, so that he didn't have dinner until about nine o'clock in the evening. He did not have a rest after the meal, but cooked food for the pig the next day and did not go to sleep until one o'clock in the morning. In this way, his rest time is less than three hours.

Talking about his immature planting and breeding skills and having suffered losses, Dong Dafu immediately thought of the loss in June last year: "that time I planted one mu of tomatoes, didn't listen to my friends' advice, and didn't clean up the drains in the field. Unexpectedly, it was rainy in June, and for a few days, all the tomatoes were soaked and rotten in the field, and all of them were thrown away, resulting in a lot of losses."

After many sleepless nights, he gradually learned about raising chickens, pigs and growing vegetables. In his room, the reporter saw stacks of breeding books that had been crumpled by him.

Expand the scale to increase income

After mastering the first-hand technology, Dong Dafu began to expand the scale and set up a mutual-aid farming cooperative to drive the surrounding farmers to get rich together. At the same time, he successfully taught himself the technology of soybean dregs feed fermentation and set up Fuqin Livestock and Poultry Farm in Nanjiang County at the end of 2014, with 300 meters of newly built roads, 600 square meters of renovated houses, more than 100 fat pigs and more than 500 hatched chickens. Led more than 30 villagers to join the farming mutual aid cooperatives, achieving local employment.

Neighbor Dong Dakui is sick all the year round, and it is difficult to pay the medical bills. "now I work on his farm. Every day I clean the chicken house and pig house, rest and work freely. Moreover, I have a considerable income of 150 yuan a day, including two meals in the morning and noon." Dong Dakui's words reveal gratitude.
