A flock of running ducks are foraging in the water.

An old woman in Wangwu Town, Danzhou is pickling sea duck eggs with red mud mixed with salt.

Sea duck eggs sell well both inside and outside the island.

From a young man to becoming a "model worker in Hainan Province", Chen Hanchou's calm tone can hardly hide his high fighting spirit and inexhaustible motivation.

Chen Hanzhou is now the party branch secretary of Hefeng Village, Paipu Town, Danzhou City. by growing characteristic vegetables and raising running sea ducks, Chen Hanzhou has led the surrounding villagers to shake off poverty and become rich over the past six years, and has become a well-known leader in characteristic agriculture.

Think about how to be a boss while working

"I studied economic management at Hainan University and went out to the outside world. I wanted to use my knowledge to make money." In 1995, Chen Hanzhou, then 28, picked up his bags and hopes and went to work in Shenzhen, Guangdong.

In the following three years, Chen Hanzhou, a construction and decoration worker in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, not only worked hard to make money, but also accumulated experience. During the night rest, instead of going out chic with other companions, he secretly figured out how to start a business and become a boss.

Worthy of having studied economic management, during his three years of architectural decoration in Shenzhen, Chen Hanzhou often thought about how to be a boss, and the most thoughtful one was tropical agriculture in Hainan.

"when I have some primitive accumulation, I will seize the opportunity and start my own business." Chen Hanzhou often encourages himself like this. In 1998, with some savings, he returned to Hainan and rented 30 mu of land to grow chili peppers in Chengmai Fushan and Wangwu in Danzhou, earning 50,000 yuan that year.

The first time when the boss made a small profit, some excited Chen Hanzhou, in 1999 to Paipu Town Chunhua Village lease, of which 63 mu of land to grow chili, 39 mu of land to grow virgin fruit. However, due to too many similar products on the market and unsalable, we lost a lot of money that year.

However, Chen Hanzhou soon stood up. In 2000, he returned to his hometown Hefeng Village to plant Chaotian pepper. As it was marketable, it earned 80,000 yuan at the end of the year.

Chen Hanchou, who had made money on land, wanted to make money in the haystack.

"this is because I find that every time the tide falls along the northwest coast of Danzhou, there are a lot of small fish, shrimp, crabs, snails and other marine life on the beach." Chen Hanzhou said confidently, "running sea ducks eat these foods to make their eggs nutritious, so they will certainly get a good price."

So in 2001, Chen Hanzhou cleaned up rivers, lakes or ponds near the entrance to Hefeng Village and began to raise running sea ducks. In that year, 3000 running sea ducks laid eggs, which made him earn more than 80, 000 yuan at a time.

Thinking about how to promote common prosperity after becoming a boss.

A single flower does not make a spring. A hundred flowers blossom in spring. " In the face of rich coastal resources, Chen Hanzhou said that it is the happiest thing to make coastal fishing villages rich.

In fact, the villagers in Hefeng Village, Chen Hanzou's hometown, have been living in poverty for many years. Villager Chen Yijun said with emotion: "Don't see that we have the word 'Feng', but we didn't have enough to eat a few years ago." This is because it seldom rains here near the sea, which can easily lead to poor harvests of the fields.

In order to quickly change this poverty situation, Chen Hanchou decided to mobilize everyone to work together and took "three major steps":

The first step is to build and harden village roads. Before 2007, Hefeng Village Road was not hardened, and it was often "covered with mud on rainy days and gray on sunny days". Chen Hanzhou ran around and, with the help of national policy, organized villagers to work and worked, and successively completed the hardening of village lanes in seven village groups, covering an area of about 25000 square meters, and six roads to enter the village, with a total length of 8.5km. In addition, he also led the villagers to renovate 1700 mu of standard farmland.

The second step is to set up cooperatives to form a joint force. In 2009, Chen Hanzhou initiated the establishment of Danzhou Fengqiu melon and vegetable professional cooperative, attracting 21 farmers to join. Up to now, the cooperative has 72 members, of which 60 are large growers, with an annual planting of more than 1500 mu of melons and vegetables, and 12 large farmers, raising 120000 sea ducks a year and laying nearly 100000 eggs a day. The initial formation of circular agriculture, that is, the organic fertilizer provided by running sea ducks, makes the crops grow more luxuriantly.

The third step is to form a new and efficient mode of cooperation. Chen Hanzhou said that the cooperative implements the "three get one free" model, that is, sending duck seedlings (melons and vegetables seeds or seedlings), feeding (feed or fertilizer), delivery technology and product recycling, so that members can have "peace of mind." This model has enabled many villagers who have joined the cooperative to taste the sweetness of getting rich. Villager Chen Jingpei said that after he joined the cooperative in 2013, he raised about 3000 sea ducks, increasing his annual income by more than 80, 000 yuan. Villager Chen Yijun joined the cooperative in 2009, planting chili, watermelon, pumpkin, okra, virgin fruit and so on, with a total area of about 400 mu each year. In 2014, he earned 280000 yuan. The crops are growing well this year, and the profit is expected to be no less than 300000 yuan.

Promote FTSE to figure out how to expand the market

This is a dynamic duck egg because the mother duck who produces it lives in the tide; it is also an approachable duck egg because it has to be pasted with red mud before it is sold to improve its shelf life. These are the sea duck eggs we saw today in the northwestern township of Danzhou City. Although the highest price has risen to 5 yuan each, it is still regarded as popular by many buyers.

How can such a booming market situation be opened and maintained?

First of all, the product itself is of high quality. Chen Hanzhou said that the sea duck eggs produced by running ducks that grow up on marine life are rich in nutrition: they mainly contain lecithin, which can delay aging, soften and clean blood vessels, and enhance memory. It also contains calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, potassium, selenium and other trace elements that are beneficial to the human body, as well as a variety of vitamins.

The second is to plan the market way out in advance. Chen Hanzhou said: "melons and vegetables and sea duck eggs produced by our cooperative sell very well, not only because the quality of the products is guaranteed, but also because of the efforts made in the market." It is understood that the professional cooperative of autumn melons and vegetables in Danzhou, which has embarked on the road of circular economy, has 22 duck farmers, producing a total of about 100000 duck eggs a day. As a raw material for zongzi in Danzhou, the cooperative has now accepted 30 million orders.

The third is to explore deep processing and new mode of operation. At present, Danzhou is developing the deep processing industry of sea duck eggs in Wangwu Town. In addition to extending its shelf life with red mud, Danzhou has also begun to explore the processing and quality preservation technology of cooked duck eggs. At the same time, Chen Hanzhou and others cooperated with 121 online shop Danzhou Pavilion to "move" the running sea duck eggs on the network, and the sales price of the online store rose to 5 yuan each.

"years of exploration has made me understand that in order to avoid" relying on heaven for a living ", agriculture should not only consolidate the industrial base, but also do a good job of intensive processing and market sales in advance." Chen Hanzhou said with deep experience. Looking at the neat queues of sea ducks coming, his face suddenly showed a knowing smile as if he saw an old friend.
