As more and more young people choose to return home to start their own businesses, there are more and more "tricks" in the traditional breeding industry, such as raising chickens in Camellia oleifera forests and experimenting with Chinese herbal medicine. Not only the breeding methods, but also the concept is changing. In 2013, Xiong Yaqiu returned to his hometown of Ruichang and entered the breeding industry, following a high-end path of raising chickens, not only eating yams for chickens and doing nutrition tests for eggs, but also going abroad to study techniques. Today, Xiong Yaqiu's yam eggs sell for 5 yuan each, and nearly 80,000 yam eggs are sold to Beijing and Shenzhen every month.
It is up to the test report to give the chicken yam.
"returnee girls return to their hometown to raise chickens", "yam eggs", "eggs worth 5 yuan each".... These are the labels now affixed to Xiong Yaqiu. Xiong Yaqiu, a former foreign student studying in Greece, has been working in Beijing since she returned home eight years ago. It was an "accident" for her to enter the aquaculture industry.
"Ruichang yam is famous. every time I return to Ruichang, I hear my family talk about how good Ruichang yam is. At that time, I thought I should share the good things from my hometown. On one occasion, I saw a lot of yam skin and other wastes piled up in my own yam processing factory. I was struck by the fact that since yam is so nutritious, isn't it a pity that Chinese yam skins and other bits and pieces are thrown away in vain? " Xiong Yaqiu said that in fact, his family has been studying how to make a by-product of yam, and after seeing the discarded yam waste, he thought it was a pity that the nutrients had been wasted, so he thought it would be better to turn it into feed.
As a result, Xiong Yaqiu returned to his hometown of Ruichang, decided to process the waste materials such as yam skin, combined the hometown specialty Ruichang yam with the traditional breeding industry, produced a unique yam feed, applied for a patent, and set up a breeding farm to produce "yam eggs". These "aristocratic chickens" who grew up on nourishing rare yams sold their "yam eggs" for 5 yuan each, mainly sold to Beijing and Shenzhen. But in Xiong Yaqiu's view, whether yam eggs are good or not and whether they are worth paying for this price, Xiong Yaqiu believes that it is not the addition of the word "yam" that can make consumers pay for it, nor is it a matter that can be solved by propaganda. It depends on scientific basis.
Xiong Yaqiu sent the eggs to the Beijing Institute of Nutrition for testing. The test report showed that this "yam egg" had less egg white, large yolk and high lecithin, and the content of β-carotene was more than three times that of ordinary eggs. "Scientific test reports can not only let consumers know clearly why they are paying the bill, but also let them understand the benefits of yam, through yam eggs, let more people know Ruichang yam."
The traditional aquaculture industry also has to learn from its strong points to make up for its weaknesses.
Chicken farming is a traditional breeding industry, in the eyes of many people, it is a very low-tech work, as long as good feed, do a good job of daily feeding. But here in Xiong Yaqiu, chicken farming also needs management and research and development, and we have to constantly learn new technologies to learn from each other's strong points to offset our weaknesses. "specific matters such as daily feeding are all taken care of. I am mainly engaged in some management, research and development and other matters. " Xiong Yaqiu said that the farm should take a high-end way, and only by strict management with high and new technology can high-quality high-quality eggs be produced.
"in fact, the aquaculture industry in many countries is doing very well. If you want to make the farm better, you must constantly go out and learn more new technologies. For example, some drug use, storage and preservation technology, as well as breeding environment, methods, and so on, only the more knowledge, the better development. " At present, Xiong Yaqiu is on an inspection tour in Finland, and then she plans to visit Japan and other countries. "now the fresh market is being subdivided, and there is a great potential for market space under segmentation. I believe there is a lot of room for high-quality eggs or other products." Xiong Yaqiu said that she is optimistic about the future development.
