Wild pheasant breeding achieves the dream of becoming rich
When it comes to farming in rural areas, what people think most about is pigs and sheep, but with the progress of society, farmers in the new period no longer stick to tradition and raise whatever they want to raise and earn money. Chen Junhong, a young man who returned home from Mast Village, Yangxi Town, Yinjiang Autonomous County, raised wild pheasants at home.
On May 23, the author walked into Chen Junhong's farm and saw that the shed was full of strong and brightly feathered pheasants, some of them pecking at weeds, some playing and playing, adding a touch of beautiful scenery to the silent mountains.
Chen Junhong, 30, has successively worked in Guangdong and Wenzhou after graduating from junior high school. ten years of hard working life has made him realize that working is not a long-term solution, and that if he wants to get rich, he must start his own business. What can I do to make money in the countryside? The nimble Chen Junhong thought of the idle wasteland in the back mountain of his hometown, so he went to Guangxi, Guiyang and other places to study pheasant farming techniques.
10 years of working life, not only accumulated a lot of entrepreneurial experience, but also have entrepreneurial start-up capital. In June 2013, Chen Junhong, with his working savings for many years, invested 100000 yuan with Deng Wenxin, a partner in the same village, to transfer more than 40 mu of mountain areas in Jiangjiaba Village and built a wild pheasant farm. After the chicken farm was built, Chen Junhong bought 1200 pheasant seedlings from Jiangmen, Guangdong Province to raise them. Due to the lack of heat preservation measures, the wild pheasants got sick and died a lot.
"after buying back 1200 wild pheasants, more than 400 of them died in a few days. It felt like the sky had fallen, and there was a heart that wanted to die." When Chen Junhong recalled the scene of raising pheasants to the author, he was filled with remorse.
After this failure, Chen Junhong realized that the key to the success of wild pheasant farming lies in technology, so as soon as he had time, he went into the farm bookstore in the village to learn pheasant farming skills.
"Wild pheasant breeding grounds should have convenient transportation, adequate water resources, and feed should be rationed. 20-30 grams per day for chicks and 30-40 grams for young chickens. " In front of reporters, Chen Junhong already knows the breeding methods of wild pheasants like the back of his hand.
Through more than a year of groping and study, Chen Junhong has mastered excellent wild pheasant breeding skills, and he has also raised native pheasants, and the breeding scale has also increased from more than 1000 to more than 4000 now, becoming a famous wild pheasant farmer in the town. This year, Chen Junhong invested another 30, 000 yuan to build a nursery, and now more than 4000 pheasant seedlings have been produced and sold to Wanshan, Yuping and surrounding villages and towns.
"I want to further expand the scale of farming and register a pheasant farming cooperative to drive the local people to get rich." Talking about his plans for the next step, Chen Junhong said confidently.
At present, Chen Junhong's Chuanhongshan chicken farm has 350 pheasants, 2000 native pheasants and 1500 chicks. Pheasants can be sold for 80 yuan per kilogram, with an annual income of more than 300,000 yuan.
