On October 13, the reporter walked into the vegetable base of Jiuxian County, Jitian Town, Suichuan County, where the base was green and full of vegetables, and vegetable farmers were busy picking vegetables in the vegetable fields and loading them in agricultural vehicles. "the supermarket is waiting to sell it!" Guo Junhua, the person in charge of the base, told his entrepreneurial story happily.

"when I was a child, my family was poor. After graduating from junior high school, I went to work in Guangdong, opened a shop in Xiamen, and engaged in transportation. Despite doing business and constantly working hard, I still feel that working to earn money is the transition of life, and eventually I have to have my own career! " Guo Junhua, 39, talked about his original intention of starting a business.

In 2012, Guo Junhua chose to return to his hometown to start a business. Making full use of the preferential policies of the party and the government and the favorable conditions of his hometown with a hundred-year history of growing vegetables, and with the strong support of the township party committee and government, he leased 60 mu of land to this group of farmers at a rent of more than 300 yuan per mu in Zhongzhou Village, Fantian Town, and set up a pollution-free vegetable base.

"everything is difficult at the beginning, and it is not easy to start a business. At the beginning of returning to their hometown, some vegetable farmers were worried about no market and loss, so under the leadership of township and village cadres, we went to the door to mobilize the masses, negotiated the cooperation model and corresponding guarantee, and signed a formal production and marketing agreement with vegetable farmers. on this basis, vegetable cooperatives in Jitian Town, Jiu County, implemented product underwriting and prepaid according to the standard of 300 yuan per mu. Up to now, 107 farmers have joined the cooperative. The total area of the vegetable base is more than 220 mu. " Guo Junhua said. In production, the cooperative held eight practical technical training courses to enable members to master scientific planting techniques, strictly follow the national operating rules for pollution-free vegetables, and uniformly supply organic fertilizer, soil and miscellaneous fertilizers, plastic film, brackets and other means of production. The problem of vegetable production quality has been solved. due to good product quality and punctual delivery, cooperatives have received many orders one after another, and cabbage, radish, chili, beans, melons and other vegetables produced by the vegetable base have been sold inside and outside the province.

"in my most difficult time, it was my old cousins who helped me, so I also want everyone to embark on the road to prosperity, live a good life, and make my hometown more beautiful!" Last year, Guo Junhua led the villagers together, and the total income of cooperative members was more than 2 million yuan. When beans entered their peak season in summer and autumn, Guo Junhua recruited a large number of bean pickers, giving priority to poor households. There was a poor family in the village. Guo Junhua invited him to the base to work seasonally, earning nearly 10,000 yuan.

In order to make a brand, Guo Junhua also applied to register the "Xingzhou" trademark, and eggplant and balsam pear applied for the "pollution-free product certification" in the Ministry of Agriculture. "next, I will strive to expand the area of the vegetable base so that vegetable farmers from neighboring villages can also join us, so that more people can eat cabbage!" Guo Junhua said that many city people have opened up a vegetable field here, and every weekend, they bring their children to experience growing vegetables and organize picking activities.
