"I planted 10 mu of grapes, there are early-maturing, medium-maturing, late-ripening varieties, selling grapes on the income of more than 50,000 yuan." Recently, in Bijiang Village, Chongren Town, Dongpo District, grower Wang Xicheng kept talking about this year's grape harvest. "if the 'five ones' working group hadn't helped me, I wouldn't have grown grapes on such a large scale."

The grape cultivation in Bijiang Village has a history of more than 10 years, from the retail planting in the past, the single variety to the present scale planting, the variety continues to increase, and now there are many varieties, such as Jufeng, Xia Hei, Hongbiao and so on. It can be said that the development process of grape is the development process of Bijiang Village.

According to Wang Zhichao, secretary of the party branch of Bijiang Village, the village is located in a deep hill with high mountains and steep slopes, and the soil and climate are suitable for growing grapes. in the past, due to poor grape varieties, lack of scale, and long-term low output, villagers were unable to plant grapes as the main way to increase income.

The turnaround occurred in 2012. In this year, the "five ones" activities of directly contacting and serving the masses in Dongpo District were implemented in the village. while helping the village improve roads, water conservancy and other infrastructure, the District Association of Science and Technology and Bijiang Village guided villagers to give full play to local advantages while taking measures to local conditions. take the expansion of grape planting scale as the preferred project to shake off poverty and become rich. "at that time, the Science and Technology Association of the region organized us to visit and study in Pengshan, Baima and other places, which not only helped us adjust our industrial structure and carry out technological improvement, but also helped us introduce new grape varieties." Wang Zhichao said.

With the help of the working group, Bijiang Village expanded the grape industry from the aspects of technology, seedlings, fertilizer, management, information, sales, etc., organized villagers to visit, carried out technical training, demonstration, guidance and expert guidance for many times, and gradually turned villagers into experts. Grape planting has also become an important way to increase income in the village.

In the same year, Wang Xicheng cut down some plum trees and expanded the scale to plant grapes. "in the first year, there was a bumper harvest of grapes, which strengthened my determination to continue to plant and expand the scale." Wang Xicheng said. Under the guidance of the technical staff of the working group, in a short period of 3 years, Wang Xicheng's grape planting area expanded to 10 mu.

This year, the wholesale price of Wang Xicheng's summer black is 16 yuan per kilogram, and Jufeng is 10 yuan per kilogram, and wholesalers come to pick up the goods every day, and his grapes are even sold to Chongqing and other places.

Today, the grape planting technology in Bijiang Village is becoming more and more mature and the harvest is getting better and better. "at present, the grape planting area of the village has reached more than 400 mu, with an annual income of more than 4 million and an increase of more than 5000 yuan per capita." Wang Zhichao said.
