"Uncle Shrimp, come and have a look at my house! What about the shrimp saplings I entered? " Yesterday morning, 6 groups of villagers in Dawen Village, Guanling Town, Shayang County, Zhang Renlong called anxiously.

In less than ten minutes, a van stopped in front of Zhang Renlong's house and came down a slightly stronger middle-aged man. As soon as he got out of the car, he rushed to the shrimp fry basket, grabbed a shrimp fry and said, "your shrimp fry is good, big and good. You must have a good harvest in May next year." Then the two sat down and talked to each other.

Such scenes can often be seen in today's Dawen Village: he often drives a van through the fields, guiding the family to release shrimp and the family to dig trenches, and the whole village is very busy. Who is he? He is Chen Lvxue, the "Shrimp Uncle" of Group 6 in Dawencun.

Before 2005, Chen Lvxue mainly focused on how to grow rice and never raised lobster. But during a visit to relatives in Qianjiang in 2005, he accidentally saw someone collecting lobster in rice fields. In the process of chatting with relatives, he learned that some farmers in Qianjiang used this space to raise lobsters in the early days before rice was planted. Although the price of lobster was low at that time, the income was slightly higher than that of growing wheat alone. When he got home, he began to think about it. In September of that year, he went to Qianjiang to buy 100 jin of shrimp seedlings and put them into the rice fields with a weight of 5 jin per mu. But in May 2006, when he was ready to harvest lobster, he found that there was no lobster in the rice field, but he had raised a pond of Loach. This incident depressed Chen Lvxue for a long time. Now, in retrospect, he thought that raising lobster was a very simple thing, mainly because of the lack of technology at that time.

"I think everything can be figured out, just to see if you are willing to figure it out!" In 2012, Chen Lvxue, who refused to admit defeat, returned to the road of raising lobsters. After the rice planting at home is completed, he uses his leisure time to go to Mao Li and Qianjiang to learn how to choose shrimp seedlings, how to regulate water quality, how to release water, when to start shrimp and other lobster culture techniques. After more than a year of study, he boldly began to experiment. He selected 15 mu of rice fields with better water conditions from his own rice fields and put them in the weight of 40 jin per mu. After releasing the shrimp, he seemed to be possessed and went to the fields every day to see the growth of the lobster. Someone in the village teased him: "are you fattening Loach again?" He always smiles away. Through more than half a year of careful breeding, Chen Lvxue's lobster has achieved a bumper harvest, each mu of lobster sold to more than 4000 yuan, a total income of more than 60, 000 yuan that year. After the lobster had a bumper harvest, his rice was also pleasantly surprised by raising lobster. Because the harmful microorganisms and weeds in the water were eaten by lobsters, and in order to ensure the growth of lobsters, there were no pesticides, so his rice became a hot item.

Since 2014, Chen Lvxue, who has tasted the benefits, has transferred more than 120 mu of arable land, set up a family farm of Xu Jiayuan in Dawen Village, and vigorously promoted the continuous cropping model of rice and shrimp. This year, he not only sold 240000 jin of rice, but also sold more than 20, 000 jin of lobster. The income of lobster alone reached more than 400, 000 yuan, making him a little-known "uncle shrimp."

One person is not rich, everyone is really rich. After Chen Lvxue's technology of raising lobster was relatively mature, he actively helped the people around him to develop the rice shrimp industry, providing them with technical guidance and sales channels free of charge. At present, continuous cropping of rice and shrimp has become a new way for villagers in Dawen Village to get rich and increase their income, and the farming area has grown from 20 mu at first to more than 1000 mu now.
