The northeast boy started a business and raised river crabs in Yibin, Sichuan Province, driving the whole town to increase its income and become rich.
"when the autumn wind blows, the crab's feet itch. When the chrysanthemums bloom, smell the crabs. " On October 12, in Laoweng Town, Changning County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, in the largest river crab breeding base in Yibin City, hairy crabs with green shells and white bellies crawled out of the water. Wang Hongtao, president of the county's Hongtao River Crab farming Association, is organizing workers to fish crabs, pack them and sell them to markets in southern Sichuan, such as Luzhou and Zigong. "at present, more than 10,000 kilograms have been sold, and an average of nearly 500 kilograms can be sold every day during the National Day." In the face of the hot sales situation, Wang Hongtao, who started a business from the northeast to Yibin, said bluntly that he had chosen the right place.
Why did Wang Hongtao, who originally set up a chemical plant in Northeast China, come all the way to Yibin to raise crabs? More than a year ago, Wang Hongtao, who traveled to Zhuhai in southern Sichuan, saw the beautiful natural environment in Changning. "the unique natural conditions made me want to develop ecological agriculture there." In early 2014, Wang Hongtao introduced crab seedlings from his hometown of Liaoning and raised hairy crabs with corn as feed.
In order to allow hairy crabs to "settle down" in Yibin, the local government took Wang Hongtao's river crab breeding base as a key support project and funded the renovation of roads, ridges, canals and other infrastructure.
"due to pure grain feeding, compared with feed-fed crabs, they are small and cannot be sold at a high price," Wang Hongtao encountered trouble in the early days of breeding. To this end, Changning County Bureau of Economic and Commercial Informatization and Science and Technology sent professional and technical personnel to work with Wang Hongtao to find a solution. "after repeated experiments, it is found that the technology of co-culture of rice fields, lotus root fields, fish ponds and river crabs has not only fattened crabs, but also increased production and income in lotus root fields and rice fields." Dong Xiaoli, director of the bureau, said.
This year, in the 600 mu of rice fields, lotus root fields and hairy crabs, not only hairy crabs have achieved a bumper harvest, but lotus roots have also sold at a good price. Wang Hongtao calculated that according to the yield of 1500 kilograms of lotus root per mu, the income per mu of paddy field could be increased by 5000 yuan.
Introduce an entrepreneurial pioneer to drive the whole town to increase income and become rich. The Hongtao River Crab Culture Association has been set up in Laoweng Town to train farmers in breeding techniques. At present, the breeding area of river crabs in the town has reached 1100 mu, and it is expected that 45000 kilograms of hairy crabs can be sold this year, with an income of more than 1000 million yuan.
