* * Pigeon breeding is really fresh. How to make money by raising pigeons?
A fine breed of snow pigeon.
Raising pigeons to develop the economy is not a new business model for many provinces and regions in the mainland, but it has become an entrepreneurial model worth promoting for the vast mainland. In recent years, some farmers in southern Xinjiang have raised pigeons and achieved great results.
The annual income of 70 million is 10 million.
In an ordinary village in Langan Township, Shufu County, tens of thousands of pigeons raised by Yang Ju are thriving.
Yang Ju was originally engaged in some auto parts business, but once in the mainland, he happened to see a lively scene of waiting in a long line to eat pigeons, which reminded him that his hometown also had the habit of eating pigeons, but there was not a large-scale breeding factory.
Yang Ju decided to dabble in the pigeon industry. Since 2012, he and his brother have invested more than 70 million yuan to build a modern pigeon farm covering an area of more than 35000 square meters.
Yang Ju said that the economic value of pigeons is reflected in four aspects, one is breeding eggs, the second is meat pigeons, the third is pigeon dung, and the fourth is that it can be processed into beverage protein.
The more eggs the breeding pigeons produce each year, the more meat pigeons will hatch, and the more economic benefits will be. "A pair of breeder pigeons produce 10 nests of squab per year, with two eggs per litter, and 14 squab produces 15 squab per year. The market price of each squab is between 18 yuan and 20 yuan. Excluding the breeding cost, the annual net income of each pair of squab is about 80 yuan." Yang Ju said. In 2014, Yang Ju's farm sold more than 30, 000 pigeon eggs, plus more than 700000 squab, plus other kinds of sales revenue, the annual income reached more than 10 million yuan.
Pigeon dung, as the best base fertilizer for growing flowers, sells for about 2700 yuan per ton, and the market price for each egg is 8 yuan. The deep extraction and processing of pigeon feathers and feed protein will be more income.
In order to increase the production of breeding pigeons, Yang Ju adopted some of his own breeding methods: "replace the real eggs through artificial hatching for 18 days, and then put them back into the pigeon cage after the pigeons come out of their shells." Yang Ju said: "through this method of egg exchange and hatching, the annual output of a pair of squab with an annual production of 6mur7 litters can be increased to about 10 nests." The food and water that pigeons are fed are also fed scientifically.
With the development, Yang Ju used the company + peasant household model to expand farming, which led to the attention of the Regional Economic and Informatization Commission and the Guangdong counterpart support working Group.
In 2015, farmers in Maigaiti County, Shufu County Langan Township, Tashmirick Township, Zhanmin Township, Maigaiti County, Hongguang Farm and Bachu County also began to raise pigeons under the guidance of the working group. Gupur Keremu and other eight farmers in Maigaiti County bred more than 1500 pairs of pigeons in June of that year, with a direct income of more than 20,000 yuan, which is a good income for the villagers who are mainly engaged in agriculture. Calculated on the basis of 50 pairs of farming per household, the annual net income of these farmers can be increased by at least 8760 yuan without affecting farming.
How big is the cake in the pigeon market?
If pigeon farming is popular on a large scale, where is the way out for the market? Yang Ju believes that * *, especially residents in southern Xinjiang, have a habit of eating and raising pigeons, but they have not formed an industrial scale before, while in the mainland, especially in southern areas such as Guangdong, people's habit of queuing to eat pigeons is already very common. In his view, there is a huge market for pigeons both inside and outside Xinjiang.
At the same time, with the development of "courtyard economy" to solve the employment direction of urban residents, pigeon farming economy is also very consistent with one of the industrial ways to drive farmers to get rich. Relevant professionals say that after steady development in recent years, the pigeon industry has gradually become mature, but any breeding industry, no matter how mature, must constantly undergo the baptism of the market, and investors must fully calculate their economic accounts. according to their own economic strength and local conditions, timely development.
