In 2006, Fu Xingqiong, who had been working abroad for nearly 10 years, resigned and went home, investing 300000 yuan to buy agricultural vehicles and build a cement brick factory. During this period, she also went to other places to inspect the breeding of long-haired rabbits.

In 2010, Fu Xingqiong invested more than 100,000 yuan to build a rabbit house on an abandoned site, introduced 2000 New Zealand long-haired rabbits from abroad, and bought another 200 meat rabbits for breeding. During the breeding period, Fu Xingqiong "took good care of these bunnies" and ate and lived next to the rabbit house for fear of mistakes.

"Rabbits breed very fast, one litter every two months, and a female rabbit will give birth to about 10 in a litter. The basic number of rabbits is increasing every month, and half a year later they grow into big rabbits, and there are thousands of rabbits in less than a year. " Fu Xingqiong said.

Through three years of development, Fu Xingqiong established "Qianjiang District Group large long hair Rabbit breeding Professional Cooperative" and "Qianjiang District Rabbit Industry Association". At present, Fu Xingqiong's rabbit breeding base has 1800 high-quality long-haired rabbits and 1000 meat rabbits.

Fu Xingqiong said that at one point she was in trouble and thought of giving up.

In order to learn excellent skills, under the organization of the Qianjiang District Women's Federation, Fu Xingqiong actively participated in the breeding technology training of the District Animal Husbandry Bureau, and usually used the "popular science network book house" to study.

In 2011, Fu Xingqiong made a match through the Association of Science and Technology and chose to visit and learn the breeding techniques of long-haired rabbits in Shandong, Henan and Rongchang, Chongqing at his own expense in the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Long-haired rabbits also have a habit of being afraid of heat but not cold. When they encounter high temperature, they should spray water to cool down in the rabbit house and build a shed to shade the open-air rabbit shed. After shearing in winter, it is necessary to do a good job of keeping young and young rabbits warm and cold.

Build a processing base for rabbit products

Fu Xingqiong has a yellowing note, which records all the details of rabbit breeding issued in recent years. The minimum number of farmers who buy breeding rabbits is more than 10, and the maximum is 200.

In addition, if the villagers encounter a bad market for meat rabbits and rabbit hair, Fu Xingqiong said that they can buy them at a protective price and do not let the villagers bear the risk.

According to the current market price of 200 yuan per kilogram, excluding the breeding cost, a long-haired rabbit can generate a net income of 200 yuan." Fu Xingqiong said that this is a project with considerable benefits in the aquaculture industry at present.

Fu Xingqiong also combined with the country's accurate poverty alleviation work, taking the development of long-haired rabbits and meat rabbits as a poverty alleviation project in Wuling Mountain area. She said that rabbit hair and meat rabbits will be recycled to build a deep processing base for rabbit products in Wuling Mountain area.
