Pengxi University graduates go back to their hometown to start a business and become a "cattle herd"
What will you do after graduation? This is a problem that many contemporary college students worry about. After graduating from university, Chen Kun, a post-80s boy in Banqiao Township, Pengxi County, chose to return to his hometown to be a "cowboy". "raising cattle in rural areas not only has a place for me to display my talents, but also enables me to realize my dream of starting a business and becoming rich." Speaking of his own entrepreneurial road, Chen Kun appears full of confidence.
Go back to your hometown to develop college students to start their own businesses and become "herders"
"I raise all water buffaloes. The market price is 11.50 yuan per catty. A cow can be sold for about 10,000 yuan. At present, there are nearly 500 buffaloes in stock. Excluding the cost, it is no problem to earn 1.5 million yuan this year." At the beef cattle farm in Zifu Village, Banqiao Township, farmer Chen Kun said happily that at present, their beef cattle sell particularly well, mainly to Chongqing, Nanchong, Chengdu and other places, and demand exceeds supply.
The shy young man was born in 1988 and graduated from Sichuan Water Conservancy Vocational and Technical College in 2011. After graduation, Chen Kun chose to return to his hometown to start a business as a "shepherd". However, the first time he proposed to his family to return to his hometown to start a business, he was immediately opposed by his family. Seeing that Chen Kun had made up his mind, his parents finally had to nod and agree.
After returning to his hometown, Chen Kun invested more than 100,000 yuan to build an enclosure, bought back more than 10 beef cattle, and began his cattle-raising career. After nearly four years of exploration, Chen Kun's farm has gradually developed from dozens of cattle to nearly 500 cattle, and the breeding breed has also been improved from the original yellow cattle to today's fleshy buffalo. At the same time, in order to minimize the pollution of the farm, Chen Kun also transferred more than 100 mu of land to plant grass to meet the feed needs of the farm. At the same time, he is experimenting with cow dung to raise earthworms to realize the recycling of manure.
Assiduously study "layman" and become a cattle expert.
"I felt very tired in the past two years, especially when the cow was sick. I often worked all night until dawn, but now I feel that my life is very full." Looking back on the entrepreneurial road, Chen Kun sighed very much.
In the winter of 2012, Chen Kun's cows began to give birth one after another, and nearly 20 newborn calves developed diarrhea due to lack of experience. After the appearance of this symptom, Chen Kun constantly consulted a professional veterinarian and searched the Internet for relevant information. After nearly a week of treatment, the calf finally returned to health. Since then, Chen Kun has actively studied aquaculture technology. In the evening, he flipped through relevant books and looked up information on the Internet. During the day, he drilled in the barn all day, summed up the experience of deworming and strengthening the stomach of cattle, observed the dietary rules of each cow, and determined the feed supply and feed formula for each cow.
"farming is a meticulous work, which requires careful breeding and strict control in all aspects of drinking water, feeding, and the hygiene of the barn; it is necessary to maintain a good breeding environment and do a good job in hygiene and epidemic prevention, so as to avoid causing infectious diseases, and carry out epidemic prevention checks on a regular basis." After several years of groping, Chen Kun quickly entered the door and gradually mastered a set of scientific techniques for raising cattle.
Serve the villagers and drive the villagers to get rich together
"with professional technical guidance, we have confidence in raising cattle and rest assured." Kong Haijun, a farmer, said happily that now that he has raised 20 cattle in his home, not only does he not worry about the market, Chen Kun will also take the initiative to teach the knowledge of raising cattle, and the cattle will also help with the treatment when they get sick. In order to better and faster lead the surrounding farmers to get rich, in 2012, with the help of the local party committee, the government and his parents, Chen Kun set up a professional cooperative for squatting beef cattle breeding in Pengxi County, and launched the "exclusive cooperative + farmers" beef cattle breeding model. That is, the exclusive society provides calves bred by cows to farmers who are interested in raising, and farmers only need to be responsible for raising. When the farmers raise the foster calves into commercial cattle that can be sold, the special agency will centrally recycle the commercial cattle and sell them uniformly to the outside world. At present, nearly 10 farmers in the township have joined Chen Kun's breeding team.
