He suffered two accidents when he was a teenager, including an amputation of the forelimb of his left arm and a removal of 4/5 of his spleen; he was physically disabled and suspended from school many times for physical reasons, but he never gave up his studies, and eventually became a college student; he loved to study and taught himself seedling-raising techniques, and became a well-known expert in raising seedlings for farmers. He continues to improve himself, insists on starting his own business, and now runs a supermarket and owns shares in two nursery companies. He is a farmer in Hexibao Village, Xihezhuang Township, Yongnian County, and an expert in raising seedlings-Liu Yongxian.

In 1974, Liu Yongxian was born into an ordinary peasant family. Since he was a child, he loved to study and read books, and his academic performance has always been among the best. However, there was an unexpected situation in the day. In the winter of 12 years old, due to an accident, the forelimb of his left arm was amputated and he had to rely on his right hand for food and clothing, but he still smiled at life.

Three years later, bad luck came again. Xiao Yongxian, who was in the second year of junior high school, was on his way to school by bike when he slipped and fell into the ditch after the rain, resulting in a rupture of his spleen. After being taken to the hospital, 4/5 of the spleen was removed. This made Xiao Yongxian's physique even worse. In the second semester of his first year of high school, he had to leave school and stay at home.

During the three-and-a-half-year suspension, he did not give up his studies and taught himself high school knowledge while replacing the fifth and sixth grade math classes in the village primary school. In 1997, Liu Yongxian walked into the college entrance examination with other high school students and got a good score of 484. He was admitted as a major in economics and management at Handan University and realized his college dream.

During the university, Liu Yongxian also used all the available time to study conscientiously, and with unimaginable perseverance and persistence, he not only successfully completed the learning tasks of various courses, but also obtained the CET-4 certificate, which laid the foundation for employment and entrepreneurship in the future.

As soon as he graduated from university in 2000, he applied for a job at Handan Radio and TV University. In the meantime, he married Li Jianying, a girl from qu Zhou. With the birth of the child, a person's income can hardly cover the living expenses of the family in the city. He resolutely chose to resign.

After returning to his hometown, Liu Yongxian applied for a job in Yongnian No. 7 Middle School and was hired as a high school English teacher for six years. In June 2007, the county cleaned up and rectified private teachers and non-teachers. The choice of life was once again in front of him. After learning about his situation, Liu Hsin-hsien, the third brother in vegetable breeding, issued an invitation: "come home and work with me!" Since then, Liu Yongxian has formed an inextricable bond with vegetable seedlings.

In order to adapt to the new role as soon as possible, he learned about seedling techniques and information through the network, actively participated in the technical training held by the county's Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, and went to Shandong at his own expense to learn seedling cultivation and management techniques. Through unremitting efforts, the original seedling problems such as low germination rate, low survival rate and low uniformity were easily solved.

Because of the hard technology and good people, the village set up a professional vegetable planting cooperative in 2010 and invited Liu Yongxian to join the company. In strict accordance with pollution-free standards, they raised seedlings such as tomatoes and green peppers, which not only improved the working environment, but also improved the quality of seedlings. He kept up with the pace of the market, continuous innovation, research, from the original single variety of seedlings, continuous experiments to develop new varieties, new technologies and new projects. At the beginning of this year, a Chinese wolfberry planting enterprise in Xingtai giant deer contacted him and proposed to cultivate "black pearl" Chinese wolfberry seedlings. At present, they have provided two batches of 6000 "black pearl" Chinese wolfberry seedlings.

Now Liu Yongxian has ushered in the spring of starting his own business, with an annual income of 160,000 yuan and a happy life.

When it comes to future development, Liu Yongxian is full of confidence: "the next step is to expand vegetable seedlings to horticulture, such as turning chili peppers and cucumbers into bonsai, which can be watched and picked and eaten. In addition, we should also seize the huge business opportunities in the development of tourism in Guangfu, prepare to make use of the transformation and opening of the Li-Li line, rely on the advantages of being close to Guangfu, transfer some land, and develop the mulberry picking industry.
