Chestnut mature season, but also Hebei Province Qinhuangdao City Haigang District stationed in Caoying Town Longquanzhuang Village Party branch secretary Wen Shouwen the busiest time of the year: contact merchants, understand the market, analyze the market, a moment can not be idle.

His busyness is valuable. This year's chestnut harvest, Wen Shouwen spent more than ten years planting these happy trees for villagers with one hand, once again fruitful.

In the 1970s, Wen Shouwen led the masses of Party members to transform farmland so that poor ravines could obtain a bumper harvest of grain; after reform and opening-up, he led the masses to become rich, and villagers drove cars up the mountain to manage orchards. More than 40 years of time flies, the original choice made Longquanzhuang Village today, but also became Wen Shouwen heart full of heart but unspeakable happiness. Longquanzhuang, a small village hidden in the mountains, shows people its wealth, beauty and longing future with the gorgeous transformation after breaking cocoon into butterfly.

1. One hand still works "I want to use one hand to let the villagers eat full!"

In 1950, Wen Shouwen was born in Longquanzhuang Village. "At that time, the village was poor. A group of young people were determined to change the appearance of their hometown. They carved big characters on the rocks: Change the sky of Doll Valley, change the land of Doll Valley." Wen Shouwen said that he never wavered in this idea.

Because of his diligence and ability, Wen Shouwen was later appointed deputy secretary of the village party branch and militia company commander, and in 1974 he was appointed deputy secretary of the commune. But just two days before reporting for duty, the 24-year-old was working on a production team when his left forearm was taken off by a threshing machine. In order to take care of his life, the commune let Wen Shouwen be the accounting counselor of the commune, 300 work points per month plus 15 yuan. At that time, when working in the production team, a strong laborer worked full time for 300 work points per month, and there was no money.

After half a year of working in this coveted post, Wen Shouwen made an unexpected decision: quit his job and return to the village as party branch secretary. Friends and relatives advised him not to be stupid, but he said: "I can't stand to be happy while the villagers starve." One hand can do the same, I want to use one hand to let the villagers eat full!"

After returning to the village, Wen Shouwen did something that shocked everyone: he wanted to change the river to cultivate rice. Growing rice in a ravine? People are dubious. Wen Shouwen took the lead in carrying dry food and carrying shovels and picks on his shoulders to work on the ground. He used his broken arm to hold the shovel handle. The stiff shovel handle rubbed blood bubbles from the skin under his armpit. Every night, he endured the pain to peel off the clothes stuck to the flesh and disinfect the wounds with salt water. Moved villagers also followed him with all their might. This year, the mountain people ate rice for the first time, ate enough rice and bid farewell to the grain sales.

Planting fruit trees and running factories, Wen Shouwen dared to think and dare to do it in that era, but a hat of "productivity theory only" made the young man temporarily at a loss and resigned sadly.

2. He became the "richest man" in the village. He resolutely gave up his small family and led the villagers to make a fortune together.

In 1982, Wen Shouwen contracted the hardware factory that had gone bankrupt in the village. Due to the proper operation, the enterprise quickly flourished and made a profit of more than 4000 yuan in that year. In 1984, the enterprise made a profit of 120,000 yuan, and Wen Shouwen became the "richest man" in the village.

Although he was rich, Wen Shouwen did not feel good. In a small village of 100 households, more than half of them borrowed money from him, and many families couldn't even marry a daughter-in-law because they were poor. He felt bad that the villagers couldn't live a good life. In 1990, Wen Shouwen was re-elected secretary of the village party branch. Between his small family and everyone, he chose to give up his family's enterprise and determined to lead the villagers to make a fortune together.

In order to start a collective enterprise, he used his own money to pay off the loans owed by the village and used his own enterprise equipment as collateral to refinance the loan. Village-run enterprises flourished under his management, but a few years later, under the influence of the big economic situation, the payment for goods could not be recovered, the booming enterprises closed down at once, and his own enterprises were auctioned off. Mental stress, combined with biliectomy, diabetes, heart disease, he left again.

During this period, Wen Shouwen had several opportunities to leave Longquan Village, but he always said: "My dream of leading the villagers to become rich has not yet been realized, and I cannot go anywhere." My hometown has changed for the better, and I'm glad when I'm old. Even if it doesn't change for the better, I won't regret it. That's because I don't have the ability."

In 1999, for the third time, Wen Shouwen was close to knowing the year of his destiny. Don't want to let him suffer, relatives have dissuaded him, younger brother promised to keep him with an annual salary of 100,000. "My hometown is too poor. The villagers want to get rich and look forward to getting rich. They are anxious and have high hopes." Wen Shouwen had not forgotten it for many years. Wen Shouwen still chose to shoulder this burden again. "Because from a young age there was a dream_to feed the villagers and make the hometown better." For the sake of the prosperity dream of the whole village, he began a new struggle.

3. Small chestnut built a "green bank" He let villagers live in villas

In 1999, Wen Shouwen learned that Jingdong chestnut produced in an area about 400 kilometers long from east Beijing to Shanhaiguan and about 300 kilometers wide from south Chengde to Bohai Bay has excellent taste and is in short supply in international and domestic markets. He suddenly saw the development direction of Longquan Village: Longquan Village is within the geographical scope of "Jingdong Chestnut", and there are large mountain fields in the village, suitable for planting chestnut.

Therefore, Wen Shouwen began to lead the villagers to plant chestnut.

In order to divert water up the mountain, Wen Shouwen went to the water department for 15 times to win funds for the village, drilled 9 large wells, built 8 water diversion projects up the mountain, and realized that there was water source in the ditch.

There is no road into the mountain, Wen Shouwen led the villagers to build roads themselves. Ten hours a day, thirsty to drink cold well water, hungry to eat cold dry rice. The weak Wen Shouwen had a high fever and fell ill on the construction site. His wife heartache he said: "we do not do, do not suffer this crime." But he said,"The whole village is watching us. If we don't do it, we'll destroy the hope of getting rich in the whole village!" No matter how hard it is, I will continue to work." In this way, the village built a total of 43 mountain roads nearly 40 kilometers.

Up to now, Longquanzhuang Village, with 102 households and 360 people, has 5000 mu of chestnut, more than 400,000 trees, 1200 trees per capita. Chestnut harvest is expected to reach 600,000 kg this year, which alone will bring an average income of at least 17000 yuan to each villager. From "eating grain year after year depends on sales, spending money on credit cooperatives" to "driving cars up and down the mountain", the improvement of life makes villagers sigh with emotion. Before the Spring Festival in 2014, villagers moved into a three-story 165-square-meter vertical family villa building. This year, Longquanzhuang Village will also invest about 3 million yuan to build a 700-square-meter comprehensive service building for villagers 'centers, two 8000-square-meter cultural squares and a 400-meter-long cultural wall, and purchase some fitness equipment to enrich villagers' amateur cultural life.

Small chestnut achievements Longquan Zhuang people rich life, achievements Longquan Zhuang village brand-new atmosphere.

The chestnut trees standing quietly in the mountains become "green banks" and silently speak for Longquan Village.
